A.S.S. Button Removal

This is a simple poll to get user input on whether or not the A.S.S. button should be removed or not.

It shouldn't need a "call admin" button though. Players should know to pm them -_-

...I guess overall it would be better if you just removed them. But then, what do reps mean anyway? People quit instead of admit left and right, so it hardly makes a difference.

Remove please. It cause too much of a headache.

As an admin, we receive so many A.S.S. abuse reports. Taking it away would really lighten our jobs a little, especially when spammed by PMs. On another note, with A.S.S. gone, certain players wont be able to just use it because they dont like how the duel is going or how it resulted in.

What if u made it into a call admin button...then made it so only the admins who arrive to the match can hit the A.S.S. button :S

Just get rid of it, and put in a Cookie Button instead.

I think ... REMOVE THE ASS BUTTON!! so many people are ASSed because Noobs dont understand some rulings or something and press the ASS button because they dont understand the truth ...

Remove that ass button it'll save our asses

Having it there serves a purpose. I agree that it's controversial and perhaps not the most efficient thing, but let me state my case.

I have not once in my memory used the button, but I still believe that it is a useful tool. If the button doesn't exist, everyone's reputation will climb. Even the people who might be showing unsportsmanlike conduct. Most times, those are the people who WILL use the button.

Therefore, the purpose is a sort of trap button. In almost no case should a respected community member need to use it, but it allows the players that need to be labeled as questionable label themselves.

They can get themselves banned if they happen to ASS anyone that cares about the community enough to report it, or they can simply lower their own reputation, so that fewer people will duel them.

Often times, since I'm patient and willing to wait for a mod to solve disputes/I have rep to spare, I accept challenges from low reputation players, just to see what they might try to pull. Worst case scenario, I lose to chain burn, and in any other case, it might just take a bit longer or something. But if they do pull an ASS, they're inadvertently cleansing themselves from the community :3

while removing it will make cheaters and trolls strave, and it not really fair on those who use it right. but it would save they ass compaints.

I vote to that it should be removed because people misuse it a solution can be a special quit button that quitts u because a player is being unfair and only an administrtor can press it

Nothing good has come from that A.S.S. button since I been on this site....and that was in MAY. People get salty because they are sore losers and just want to take the quick way out while still doing something to the winning player. Its safe to say based on those 5 that pick for the A.S.S. button to remain are people that likes to troll. But I dont think we need a call an admin button to be honest. On one hand i can see where the pm's can get annoying for the Admins so I guess in that aspect it would get reckless. But for now...lets see how well we can do without the A.S.S. button.

i dont really mind if it gets removed or not.. i never really use it, and i dont mind people using it on me (which rarely happens anyway since i can pick the right opponents)

I have absolutely no problem with the current system, save an aspect I noted in another topic. Halberdier does make a good point; without the A.S.S. or at least a way to have the reputation go down, bad and unsportsmanlike players will become indistinguishable from fair and respected players. I think that there should just be more of a penalty for USING the A.S.S. button, and/or an easier way to report it.

Hire more admins first then get it removed.
today in a duel my opponent was afk and there was only 1 mod online.
i pmed the mod and waited until i got dced cuz of my stupid internet connection.
i wouldnt use a.s.s either way but REMOVE IT!

i say remove it. ive heard a lot about A.S.S abuse but ive never experienced it myself. ive never personally used it or had it used against me. a call admin button would be much more useful, like a report button

I love the ASS button, it causes a large decrease in rep, which is the only way to tell good people who admit defeat from those who cheat and never admit.

We need to kick this thing like a bad habit, it only encourages people to make the site worse.

I've never had to A.S.S. someone, otherwise I called a mod and normally there were at least 2 mods online. The only experiences I have had with the A.S.S. button was people using it for the wrong reasons, when their losing, when they only want to read the card not the rules or ruling, or just to get kicks out of it. Nevertheless people could also make noob accounts to attack certain people without much to lose.

I have a folder of somewhere around 40 ASS screen shots; all of these people were probably more harmed by their actions than I was. And nothing other than pushing that "ASS" button would have gotten them in any trouble for all the commotion that many of them caused.

May I mention, a mod is smarter than the A.S.S. button to confirm whether someone is cheating or being rude. Ratings don't matter, losing reputation is what's really bad since it sticks with you through the formats.

I agree, and I never even knew I could have been banned if I was repeatedly A.S.S.'ed. Thanks for the heads up.

Please remove it. the reason i say this is because i have been a.s.s.ed by people unfairly and theres been some incidents when a mod has dueled and got a.s.s.ed, only to ban the player unfairly when the person had a right to use said button. Its reputation for the button is basically calling itself the ban me button when used on certain people and mods

I say make it where the ASS button is only accessible by players who have a higher rep and make it where they can't lose their rep for using it. Kind of like how you have the awesome card backgrounds for those who have a specific amount of rep for those.

Yeah...please get rid of this. My reputation would be 100 higher if I hadn't been wrongfully A.S.S.'ed by 20 different people. I have screenshots to prove all of them, but I didn't bother sending them in because I don't see anybody getting banned for them.

Not advisable, some people with HIGH reputation already use it unfairly, my friend got hit with A.S.S. by someone with 1000+ rep

I can support the A.S.S. button getting removed, but there needs to be some way for reputation to decrease, so we can identify less sportsmanlike players.

The A.S.S. Button has been a topic of a lot of Blogs around the net, most by Unfair use of the button,

One of those topic you see almost in every yugioh forum, one of the biggest NEGATIVE that almost every Yugioh Player can associate with Dueling Network,

I guess it's time for it's removal, Thanks!
