For real! DEF that high almost guarantees it'll stay on the field long enough for a Rank 1 Exceed Summon (provided you set it).Badass_Bunny wrote:Nope but that is some heavy def for LV1 Monster

Elecs might have found the support they needed
Watt King Cobra
This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent by attacking directly: select 1 "Watt" monster from your Deck and add it to your hand.
Watt Cancel
When an opponent's monster is Normal or Special Summoned: Discard 1 "Watt" monster; negate the Summon and destroy the monster.

I honestly fail to see the appeal in Galaxy-Eyes.

Same here, can someone explain the hype to me?

Well, that's kinda nifty I guess, but I don't see where I'd personally use him in besides REDMD decks.

That goes for a lot of Dragons. REDMD is the best thing that happened to the Dragon decks.

The set is seriously bad. Only a relative few of the cards in the pack are worth using. Everything else is the terrible filler that sets are normally stuffed with.

Hell, a lot of the legacy support here and even the anime cards were improved majorly and are amazingly playable.
Re: 706: Photon Shockwave
A lot Light support in this set. Because Light wasn't supported up the butt already...

I'm surprised you didn't gawk at the actually godly WATER and Ice Barrier support. =p

THEY'rE HEEERRRREEEE!!! I was just on DN, and most of the cards from Photon Shockwave are IN THE GAME! No XYZs yet, but this is still so awesome! Johnny, your baby is calling you....

Re: 706: Photon Shockwave
Basically the new archtypes that come out from now will have exceed support rather then synchro support most of the time. I wonder how exceeds will evolve. Can't wait to try them out on DN!

You mean Alexis finally wants to be with me again!?
Owai-
Sure, that's cool too.
Re: 706: Photon Shockwave
Photonise and tri-wright zone look the most interesting IMO.
A real version of Ojamandala, and a trap form of honest. Hopefully Photonise will help Gradius enough to make them as fun as they used to be.

Man WTF. Most of these cards are soooo BROKE. LMAO Deep Dark Trap Hole makes me smile hard. Biggest middle finger to Synchros since I don't know when.

Never heard of Compulsory Evacuation Device?
OT: I am not impressed by this set. Sure, Photon Veil could be handy, the Watt additions are a-okay, Evols might become powerful next set, Tri-Wight is potentially broken and Ragia is awesome, but other than those cards, nothing really seemed that useful to me.
Maybe I'm just expecting too many good cards instead of half-playable Anime cards, eh?

Compulse doesn't make the problem go away forever.
I didn't expect so much Normal support.

I see your point and agree. There are some good cards in this set, but many of them are lackluster at best. The Xyzs are the best part of the set.Pot of Profanity wrote:CaiusTSR wrote: LMAO Deep Dark Trap Hole makes me smile hard. Biggest middle finger to Synchros since I don't know when.

I guess they are trying to make Vanilla's popular again they kind have become useless unless your running an anti effect deck

I dunno if I even would say that.
Gig-Anto is mildly playable and White Knight is close to useless/not worth the cost of three monsters.
Ragia and Thunder-End are the good cards of this set, but can only be run in dedicated decks that aren't really that competitive (yet?).
Not to mention that Baby Tragon and Galaxy Queen are pretty much completely useless for needing three level 1 monsters.

True that, but then again running 3 bad cards + Veils just to summon a mediocre Rank 1 Exceed is Bad Yugimonz.

Re: 706: Photon Shockwave
Yes, that just tells you how lackluster the set is, that the sub-par Xyz's are the best part. There are some gems in here, but then again, sooo much filler... that is to be expected though.Pot of Profanity wrote:vantagesp wrote:The Xyzs are the best part of the set.

Re: 706: Photon Shockwave
Then I guess it's up to debate, but it is easily the best set currently. So many playable cards, it's not even funny. Hell, even sealed tournies won't look crappy when this gets here. <3

My vote goes to Extreme Victory.
T.G.'s, Unknown Synchron, Mystic Piper, Resonators, new Psychic monsters, Karakuris, Tradetoad, Elder of the Six Samurai, Essedarii and LOLTengu.
Just to mention the monster-lineup...
Great set was great. Compared to that, both Generation Force and Photon Shockwave seem "meh" to me.
Don't get me wrong, this set is not the worst in Yugioh history, but it certainly could have been better.

EXVC was pretty horrible to me, mainly because it took TCG Exclusives for people to feel it was really worth it. >___>
Re: 706: Photon Shockwave
The Photon cards are gonna be abused like no tomorrow... Hell, I'm already deck testing Galaxy Dragon in my Disaster Dragon deck, and man, it does wonders! A neat little trick to do is attack your opponent's monster, say they activate dprison, activate eff to rfg both monsters, then activate burial from the different dimension during the battle phase, and thus, once Galaxy returns, the opponent's monster doesn,t because it's stuck in the grave yard lmao.
I did that to a sam user, to his Shi en, and he just rage quit after that. Disaster Dragon is definitely getting a boost here with thunder end and galaxy, combined with the photon leads and such.
Not only agents with the photon cards, but the bewd variant of Disaster as well, trust me, it makes the deck even more crazy fast than with those trade-ins, dualities, and etc.
Second or third turn you'll have at least one bewd out, and with ruler's penetrating gaze out, a perfect free judgment pretty much to negate a s/t, or summon.
So, yeah, this meta is gonna be insane this fall...
