Steelswarm Caucastag + Steelswarm Genesoid

Hey guys,

I have a little question.

When I tribute SW Genesoid for SW Caucastag, does Caucastag it's effect go off, I've been using the combo for a while now, faced someone and said it didn't work. Can't find any ruling and an Admin or someone wouldn't show up.

Steelswarm Genesoid

If this card is used to Tribute Summon a "Steelswarm" monster, this card can be treated as 2 Tributes.

Steelswarm Caucastag

When this card is Tribute Summoned by Tributing 2 "Steelswarm" monsters: Activate 1 of these effects.
● Destroy all monsters on the field, except this card.
● Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.

Bold parts were confusing to me or confused him(I don't know who's right so...).
I think the effect goes off though, need some confirmation for it.

According to Over the Nexus you can, however due to lack of official ruling I can't give you 100% reliable answer.

From the Japanese Yugioh Wiki page for caucastag:
効果を発動するためには、《インヴェルズ万能態》や《侵略の波紋》の補助は必須と言える。
"The use of 'Steelswarm Genesoid' and/or 'Infestation Ripples' is almost a necessity in order to use its effects."

This leads me to believe tributing Genesoid will trigger Caucastag's effects. But this is just a wiki and not an official source, so *shrugs*.

And how will it be ruled on DN?
If it's ruled that it works on DN(for now),then I'll be able to link people here when they argue.

Yeah it works with Genesoid, Japanesee wikia more often has much more rulings than English.
