Elemental HERO Wildheart vs Magic Cylinder

Wildheart text: "This card is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards."

Magic Cylinder text: "Negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK."

So... im kinda confused. I think the atk isnt negated but the burn still happens. Right?

Can't negate his attack, so no damage is done
