Safe Zone
It's simple, Konami Says you can:Here
They even played the move on last YCS Number of times yet in a duel today my opponent says he can attack then an admin Confirmed that the can. In reality did an Admin screw me or Konami
Thing is even tho I control Safe Zone all rules on the card apply on my opponent means effects and attack restriction too

Re: Safe Zone
This is what i thought before too, but i stopped using it that way when i saw this rule:
If we were to take Player A as You, and Player B as Your Opponent, we can reword Safe Zone's text to something like this:
Activate only by selecting 1 face-up Attack Position monster. That monster cannot be targeted or destroyed by Player B's card effects, or be destroyed by battle. It cannot attack Player B directly. When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.
That means if you use it on an Player B's monster, that monster can STILL attack since Safe Zone only prevents the monster from attacking Player B directly.
i had high hopes for this card, and im quite disappointed by this when i first found out (if anyone has noticed i removed a few lines of texts i originally written on the single card discussions). So yeah that's an Epic Fail on Konami and YCS; that or we wait for konami to say something about this.
If anyone can find a similar card reference to further confirm this then that would be great.

You just didn't interpret the card well enough.
How did you think the whole Colossal-Arm OTK worked ?

You cant really blame the guy, like he said some guy even used it like that on YCS and they even mentioned it on their articles. Either they admit they were wrong (lol?) or add it as another BKSS ruling (most likely)... either way they fail miserably.

Nearly every articles of the YCS duels has some mistakes in it, which is why it's not really trustworthy.

As usual, you got screwed by Konami, should we expect anything different?

As I said move was played more than once in last YCS even konami encouraged it, I've seen a number of post both here and in chatroom of people saying that they used Safe Zone to stop they're opponent from attacking I never saw anyone saying them they were wrong so in the end I never put much thought into it since it was just a tech card. On the other hand I never really cared about Colossal-Arms OTK to actually think about how it works

I heard somewhere that the Colossal Fighter - Armory Arm combo won't work anymore!Badass_Bunny wrote:Key wrote:Badass_Bunny wrote:So in the end I got screwed by Konami

1. It's not true, it will always work, with 2 Colossal Fighter + 1 Armory Arm
2. Regardless the rule change, it worked before and this was how it worked.

Re: Safe Zone
what i meant was 1 Colossal Fighter and 1 Armory Arm. I already knew about the facts that the combo will always works with 2 Colossal and 1 Armory Arm, but in the past there are players that used 1 Colossal Fighter and 1 Armory Arm to do the combo.Key wrote:BlackwingRa wrote:

Re: Safe Zone
how did you all forgot about an older card than armory arm?
i never understood how anyone could get confused with this card when we had big bang shot for a long time !
big bang shot text
The equipped monster gains 400 ATK. When the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the equipped monster's ATK, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this card is removed from the field, the equipped monster is removed from play.
