Malefic Stardust vs Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror

I've been wondering that for a while now, does Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror negate Malefic Stardust Dragon's effect that prevents field spell cards from being destroyed? I think it does cause it's an effect that activates (at least it seems to me).

is a continuous effect. therefore it never activates.

as you can see S-IM only negates effect that activates.

Yep, stardust is completely unaffected by shadow imprisoning mirror, since all of its effects are either continuous or conditions
