Damn this sucks.. I was just about done testing my deck and was finally ~almost~ ready to actually buy the cards scratch

hopefully dueling network will be back up. This could be the most important duel its bls vs konami... hopefully bls comes out victorious.

I can't believe that Konami is complaining about loosing money did they seriously expect people to play YGO Online where they charge for everything? This could actually be called helpful to them since few years back I was getting into YGO and when I tried to download the game and realize I had to pay for it I decided I'll give up on YGO it wasn't till a year ago that I found out about Free duel simulators and even tho I don't play game in RL I occasionally buy cards. So DN helps them so people can test out new cambos and new stuff before they go out and actually pay them sh*tload of money for their overpriced cards

Best of luck resolving the issues. Hopefully Konami won't bring the site down as that'll prove to be very short-sighted.

In my opinion, anything that raises awareness of a product is never bad for the author of the product in question. This is true when seeing that sales for pirated music actually increased rather than decreased in the last couple of years, to mention an example.

DN is nonprofit either way and it's also not affiliated with Konami. They just need an excuse to shut it down... and if what I think they found is their excuse, then they failed. I belive in BLS, he'll have DN back up and running soon. =)

Only way I can make my DN deck in real life is when the Dark World deck comes to the US. Other then that I have all my other decks in real life.

Seriously people quit going crazy about this and cool and hope BLS will manage to solve the problem. Afterwards there should be done something to prevent further trouble with copyright, like removing any official logos, a copyright disclaimer and even some sounds, because we are talking about konami here.

I hope DN does come back. I've made 8 decks in real life, and six of them I wanted to make because of how much fun I've had with them on duel simulators. Without DN I have to either play only at locals and against my cousin, or go back to YVD and not get to use OCG cards...

If someone did impersonate Konami and sent a false DMCA, then that is not right and DN should be brought back online. However, if Konami is behind all of this, they should of at least gave you some warning BEFORE issuing the DMCA.

I agree with BLS and everyone should just be patient and not do anything rash. As far as we know, doing something rash can make Konami perform what is called "The Exodia Procedure"*. Just remain calm and just wait and we will be dueling again soon.

*"The Exodia Procedure" - The "obliteration" of a server or website that hosts anything that is copyrighted by Konami and other resources.

This sucks huge man, I literally just found out about this site yesterday...

The only reason this is "stealing" away customers is because Konami's products suck...

All their games are missing cards for my real decks (either the games are not up to date and don't contain the newer cards or the games exclude older cards that I still use). This makes it impossible to test my decks without actually dueling a person in real life which is not always possible (actually hardly ever possible).

I was so excited when someone told me about this site... Figures something this good would come to an end...

God I hate corporations...

Anytime anyone tries to make a product or service better than they can they get up in arms about it...

I'm more upset because, I'm willing to spend the money on the cards, but there no place around me where I can easily get cards consistently. The only way to get cards consistently for me is to buy them online, but I don't have virtual money and my Dad will have a fit if gets a wiff of me buying ANYTHING online. It doesn't matter what it is. 99 cent pencil of which any profits will be donated to charity? Slanderous backstabbing money waster! Do you think money grows on trees?

The only way I'm comfortable buying cards is IRL in a normal store but they keep moving/closing/renovating/raging...

DN was a nice way to play with cards I couldn't ever get. The DS games and such are cool and all but unless they can fit their ENTIRE library of cards on to one game and find a way to consistently update it, I'm not buying.

I wanted to try running "Greed" in a burn deck just to see what would happen.

You have to look at it from Konami's perspective. DN is making them lose money because they have their own Duel Simulator which costs money to buy things in. DN is just a very popular simulator and the bigger the site the more of a threat it is. Just like One Manga or anything like that. Though if the owners of the site really wanted to be sneaky they could easily buy a server in a country that has no copyright laws. It's not that DN is making or isn't making money it's that either way it's losing Konami money. If DN was making money there probably would already be a class action lawsuit against the owners. I just want it back for a little while so I can write down everything in my decks.

as mentioned a couple of pages back i think a yugioh remains property of konami would get the site back up,i do also think that konami would email BLS about the matter, i rember another game i played had the same problem and the company emailed the site owner and the matter was resolved within a couple of days. lets just hope for a speedy resoultion to the matter

As a preemptive measure, if the person who made deuling network has base files for it, you should get started on it while you still can.

Also, if it will help, we can send emails to Konami saying politely how this network has caused us and others (Actually, the past few months 4chan's video game board has been oogling this thing) to support yugioh in real life.

Also, while I am here, I'd like to ask a few questions:

- Why is the actual gameplay manually operated? (IE: you must subtract your own lp, send your own monster to graveyard if attacked etc)?

I assume it's because it would be to time consuming to code every card effect and atck/def values, right?

- Any chance in the future (if it sticks around pale

) that we could get a duplicate deck feature? I'd like to make 2 versions of each of my decks, one for traditonal, one for advanced. As of we can only make decks entirely from scratch.

- Likewise, any chance we could get a anything goes mode? 3 of any card period, right now you can't even build a deck with more than one copy of a banned card.

- Also, would it be possible to add illegal cards (like this one: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Aggiba,_the_Malevolent_Sh%27nn_S%27yo) for tradtional format?
