Pretty close to exceed.
The problem is that Konami had to explain how to pronounce it. Players who don't know how to properly pronounce it will most likely call it XYZ as opposed to ikseez (until Konami and the CW4kids bang it into are head to the point of annoying). Exceed is easy to pronounce and causes little confusion.

On a separate note, I bet the first time people seen it they thought of XYZ Dragon Cannon right away.

Really, most of them should be in 1's unless you're playing a ZeXaL-generation deck, which means you need more Xyz than Synchro Monsters, trust me when I say that. >_>

Well I was reading about them and noticed that they are not affected by level cards, because they use ranks.

Isn't it a little strange you have to pile the cards on top of each other? Isn't there a card that stops Xyz summons?

But if you don't know that is how you are supposed to pronounce it, you will not pronounce it like that. You will not even come close to it. If it was called Ikseez it wouldn't be so awkward.

There's Non-Fusion Area and Discord. It'll happen eventually.

What I want now is a real Xyz killer, not a card that make them less scary (Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon)
