Solved Breaker the Magical Warrior/ Card Guard rulings

Post  The Rocket 2011-08-19, 13:51

First, the ruling about Breaker the Magical Warrior.

1. Suppose I summon "Breaker the Magical Warrior" and my opponent activates "Trap Hole" or "Ring of destruction" in response (yes, I know the last one is Forbiden, but anyway). Can I still remove the counter from Breaker and destroy a Spell/Trap card or not?

Now the "card guard"
2. Suppose I summon "Card Guard" and my opponent activates "Trap Hole" or "Ring of destruction" in response (yes, I know the last one is Forbiden, but anyway). Can I still remove the counter from Card Guard in order to protect or place the counter on another card before it's destroyed?

1. No you can't remove counter that is because putting counter on Breaker Starts a chain. Breaker effect to remove a counter is an ignition effect so that means it's spell speed one so you can't remove counters in response to Trap Hole cause you can't chain Spell Speed 1 effect to Spell Speed 2 effect.

2. Same ruling as above.

Someone move and lock this.
