Side-Deck
One of the most important things in a yugioh Match
and it is with this that you can get an advantage but if used improperly it may just be a waste and so you must add the appropriate cards based on your deck

Let's take a look here
let's use my latest favorite deck as an example
The Art and Guide to Side-Decking OuP2q
The deck is based on summoning Chaos Goddess to make high level swarms
it is based on light tuners and dark non-tuners
and i had found
so duradark is a nice beatdown, chaos food and has a destructo eff

and let's say you run a deck with only one attribute for side deck it would really help using Gozen Match

this is a very good side-deck card for decks like laval
ice barrier
darkwolrds
etc.

knowing is half the battle as they say. so you have to know your deck
what helps and may sound stupid is just staring at the deck you will get an epiphany.

for decks that only use 1 type like
warrior decks
dragon decks
and so on the card rivalry of warlords can really help control the field just like gozen match.

Now if you really want to make a great side deck ready for any kind of battle then you just have to know the meta and like i said before
Knowing is half the battle

in this instance the meta decks right now are
Plants
Dark Worlds
Chaos
you must study the meta and study the cards and this is where we brainstorm

Plant decks

Rely heavily on sending to grave or just graveyard Period.
Plant decks have had a long life in yugioh and have gone extreme changes
Konami has given plants Cancer and they are still fighting
so for the tools you need against plants *take note that there is only 15 cards in the side deck so you cant overload on 1 thing*

you need this that mess up the opponents graveyard and an all around card that is great side deck against ANY deck that involves the grave you have to give it to

The Art and Guide to Side-Decking 300px-DDCrowLCGX-EN-SR-1E
D.D. Crow such a good card against anything really since the meta now involves the graveyard this card is great and it's a wuick effect meaning it can be chained

with that card you just hit the meta right in the kisser that means no spore/glow-up,dandy/that light target he needs or dark/no 3 darks for DAD etc.

second card that is a MUST in 90%of decks is
The Art and Guide to Side-Decking 300px-FossilDynaPachycephaloCT08-EN-SR-LE
this card fits almost any normal deck right now.
if your deck is not so heavy on special summoning then this card is for you!
when flipped it destroys ALOT most on the time
and when face up no special summons
lockdown means
no gorz/bls/chaos sor/tragoedia/battle fader/treeborn/glow-up/hyperion/venus eff/all darkwolrds/ no gottom's call/no dandy tokens/no spore etc. this card is beast!

those are some common monsters that go in a side deck in MOST decks they are an all around card now some others like to side deck

this guy The Art and Guide to Side-Decking 300px-ThunderKingRaiOhLCGX-EN-C-1E
ahh thunder king such a great anti-meta card
Negate inheret summons
no duality's for those decks that are pretty much stuck in a slow paste
no searching meaning no sangan, rota, smoke signal etc.

all in all it;s a great card Light, 1900 beater just great

now if you'd like leave your deck here in the comments or post em' here and we may be able to help

this is for you to know how important the side-deck is i am telling you
you may have a great deck but if the side deck is useless then they will have the upper hand on you

hope this helped some people and if you think this helped you then i am glad Very Happy

I have been playing Yu-gi-oh for almost a decade and I found out about side deck when I started playing again for serious. The problem was that I couldn't make it work so I let down. I might give it another try whith this guide. scratch
