Solved Gadgets + Inferno reckless summon

A recent combo I do is to summon marauding captain, then special summon a gadget monster, then activate inferno reckless summon in response.

If I decide to activate a gadget's effect, can I chain IRS to it and vice versa, if I activate IRS can I use the gadget's effect? What about the special summoned gadgets? Can the effect of the special summoned gadgets (summoned by IRS) be activated?

Also, another question regarding 2 other cards: Slifer the sky dragon + Precious cards from beyond. If I activate PCFB before summoning slifer, will the effect activate and allow me to draw 2 more cards when I tribute summon Slifer or will Slifer cancel out the effect for that brief period?

For the first part, I'm unsure.
I don't see a reason why you can't use the gadget's effect when they're special summoned, but I could be wrong.

1st question: the effect of the Gadget that you SS by Marauding Captain and Inferno Reckless Summon will form a Chain, and the newly summon Gadgets by IRS cannot activate their effects because they're summoned in the middle of a Chain that resolving.
2nd question: No you can't draw because Slifer forbid that. Razz

But wait, gadget effects are optional effects, aren't they? So if I decide, NOT to activate a gadget's effect, then the other gadget's can get their effects?

...And based on your answer, your saying that I can activate the first gadget's effect AND chain IRS to it?

If you decide to not to activate the 1st Gadget's effect, then the others that IRS summons can activate their effects.

You can because it's still "When a monster is Special Summoned". But as also said, it's form a chain link.

Chain Link 1: Gadget Effect
Chain Link 2: IRS
Resolve
Chain Link 2: IRS Summons 2 other Gadgets
Chain Link 1: Adding another Gadget to the hand.

Now, Gadgets are "When...can..." effects that can miss timing. Look at the resolution, the last thing to happen was adding another Gadget to the hand, so the timing is off and the newly summoned Gadgets cannot activate their effects.

If you decide not to use the Gadget effect and just use IRS, then it will resolve and the last thing to happen was the 2 new Gadgets being summoned, so you can use both as a Chain Link.

I guess that answers my question. I had though that if I activated the first gadget's effect then it was no longer "when it was summoned" so I couldn't chain IRS to it, but it seems I don't quite have a full understanding of how missing timing works.

Activating effects are declaring an action, not an actual action. Resolving effects are actions. That's how I see it anyway.
