Now all of you are wondering "Oooh! What do we get?" Well I'm here to tell you! As a token of appreciation for your collaboration, you'll get your own custom avatar and sleeves for using in DN! And that's not all! To show you've helped the best dueling program ever, your dueling icon will have a golden glow around it! Oh. Did I mention you get to bypass the server limit? Well I did now!

I guess you guys are wondering "Well Goddess how much do we have to donate?" The answer?

Just $1. That's right! $1 or more and you get access to these benefits for 3 days! Donate even more and you'll have it for even longer. Wondering how long? Well do the math! For every extra dollar you donate, you'll tack on 3 extra days of your rewards!

Seriously though, this looks like a very nice thing to reward donators with. I just wish that there was a payment option that'd permanently unlock the rewards. Something along the lines of $30 or something. Either way, great addition and I'll be sure to donate once I get some spending money.

If you have already donated, you will receive an email with your transaction ID that you can use to redeem, if you have not received an email, please send us an email to get your transaction ID.

I haven't forgotten about past donators. They donated when there was minimal reward and we really needed the financial help to pay server costs.

I will send out an e-mail with transaction ids to previous donators either today or tomorrow so they can redeem their donations from scratch. I wanted to do it earlier today, but I got caught up in putting out the release and whatnot and didn't get to it.

To all donators: DN appreciates your support! I hope you enjoy the donation rewards!

Yes. PayPal doesn't require a PayPal account through. It accepts credit cards and debit cards too.

If you don't have access to a credit card, you can ask a friend who does to donate for you and pay him in cash Razz

Will there be other options available to donate by in the future, such as by SMS? I would love to support DN, and I'm sure that other options would increase donations, and it would help players such as my self who do not have access to a credit/debit card. Smile

Sorry, but PayPal will remain the only way to redeem donations. It's the easiest way to securely transfer money which DN can track. My best recommendation is to talk to family or friends who can help you out with donating. I'm sure you can find someone with a credit card willing to help if you try Smile

It's $1 USD; Paypal automatically converts foreign currency, so there shouldn't be any issues to that.

I think this is a good idea, the obvious concern of inappropiate avatars and sleeves is there, but it's not abusable...
1. You'd have to be a complete jerk to donate just to use an inappropiate avatar...
2. It's easily spotted.

There aren't too Many people that will go through the trouble of donating just to use something that may offend someone. Also you can probably keep an eye on new accounts that donate... Just like... A dollar. Just to make sure they aren't gonna do anything like so.

Plus in the end it's monetary gain for dn, regardless. I think it's a good system, though kinda defeats the purpose of tourneys doing this? Maybe come up with something else for tourneys after this?

I agree with the person that suggested a donation cap fee for 'permanently' unlocking the perks. Otherwise, it's basically 10$/month for it to be 'permanent', so to speak.

Which.. isn't so bad, I guess. (If you have a decent paying job anyway.)
Since I'm someone casual that doesn't really play ranked very often, this is helpful.. but 3 days seems a bit.. short? (Again, because I'm casual and don't play everyday.)

you're not paying for 3 days of the perk.... You're donating to the server and the server is giving you a thank you.... It's not meant to be looked at as... Donate to get the rewards, but rather get the rewards for donating... Previously some of us were donating for nothing, so it's more of a thanks for your support, enjoy this for a bit kinda deal... Not like, buy 3 days for a dollar...

Once you upload your avatar and sleeves, they will stay on your account forever. But after these 3 days, you cannot upload new avatar/sleeves.

avatar gets rezised regardless of size, I'm pretty sure... Sleeve I believe it was... 400/580, it tells you when you're uploading.

My friends are thinking about donating that much in one go, and they're trying to convince me as well.

Anyway 5-10 dollars a month is ok with me... I don't mind helping out with that much. It's basically what i was giving before this rewards came out anyway, so I'm mostly unaffected and when I'm not playing as much, I can simply save my rewards for when I am.

$10 per month just so you get something that will discourage you from dueling in rated, only to be able to "stand out"? And also, to get something that in a site with half a million people isn't offered, or at least have a much larger variety of avatars to choose from?

And what happens when these 30 days pass? Another $10 that you'll never see again, only for the purpose of being different from others, but now with $1 everyone will be different from everyone, so everyone will be the same!

I also agree that this is a brilliant trick for gaining money, I only point out that at least this much should be already offered.

They work like gift cards for shops, but are visa 'credit cards' with a pre-paid amount on them and are acceptable anywhere Visa is accepted.

You're not donating for the customs, that would be paying, which is not the reason we're doing this

You're donating to help lower the cost of server, so we give you the recognition thus you can be recognized as the supporter.
