<h1>Intro</h1>

Lots people who quit after I said send is not destroying.
So this is a simply thread to discuss & explaining about that.

<h1>Definition</h1>

SEND / SENT :
Some card have a text written as "send to graveyard"
Now, what it does ? It simply send it to graveyard, not destroying nor discarding. Just sent

    Accoding to wiktionary http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/send
    Verb

send (third-person singular simple present sends, present participle sending, simple past and past participle sent) (transitive)

To make something (such as an object or message) go from one place to another.
      • To send a message.
      • To send a letter.

Example List of Cards that have "send" (to [the] grave) text

  • Karakuri Ninja MDL 339 "Sazank"
This card must attack if able. When this face-up Attack Position card is selected as an attack target, change it to Defense Position. When this card is flipped face-up, select 1 face-up monster on the field, and send it to the Graveyard. During the turn this card is flipped face-up, it can attack your opponent directly.
  • Hand Destruction
Each player sends 2 cards from their hand to the Graveyard and draws 2 cards.
  • Cyber Eltanin
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing from play all face-up LIGHT Machine-Type monsters from your side of the field and from your Graveyard. This card's ATK and DEF are equal to the number of monsters removed from play for its Special Summon x 500. When this card is Special Summoned, send all other face-up monsters on the field to the Graveyard.
  • Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation
Target 1 face-up "Ninja" monster you control and 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; send them to the Graveyard, then Special Summon to your side of the field 1 Dragon, Dinosaur, or Sea Serpent-Type monster from your Deck whose Level is less than or equal to the combined Levels of the sent monster(s). When this card leaves the field, banish that monster.

<h1>tldr;</h1>
<h2>Then What does it (word "SEND") actually do ?</h2>
The word "send" as defined by wiki, it simply placed to other location.

<font color=yellow style=text-decoration:blink>Means it won't trigger that any "DISCARDING" effect nor "DESTROYING"</font>
Because : sending ≠ ( discarding || destroying )

Easier to say this way :
- HAND DESCTRUCTION does not triggering DARK WORLD effect
- STARDUST DRAGON can not negating CYBER ELTANIN / Karakuri Ninja MDL 339 "Sazank" (or just like in screenshot case, MEKLORD can not summoned because no monster being destroyed)

Although no informative article can be bad, I'm pretty sure people here on the forums no Game Mechanics to know that send is not destroying. The people who you are dueling aren't being who would come here in public because their attitude wouldn't be very welcomed as their reputation would be bad for quiting because they can't accept the way the game works.

Perhaps I'll write an article about Game Mechanics, it's something even the advanced duelist can look over.

The term "send" is really easy to understand if you read the rulebook and your cards seriously.
