Good Staple Cards

The only one I ran for a while was Dark Hole but I do side MST and Heavy and I started running PoD after a friend said he thought it would make my deck a lot better (which it did)

How does that makes you feels that 25%-30% of your deck are same with others

It gives me the feeling that I'm partially the same as other people and not some weird random guy complaining about everything in games.

All of this staple cards are good of course..

I don't get why they have Maxx "C" listed as a semi-staple.

i usually dont use Dark hole or torrential
usually my decks swarm quite a bit
those cards just kill me

I run those whether or not just because they can help you out of a bad situation if something goes wrong. Like a mirror force or their own torrential. I have the trouble of trying to have three MSTs because back row is scary.

Maxx C, Veiler, Thunder King, MST, Dark Hole (nowdays duelist seldom to set a card (Heavy in 1 and MST in 3) so Dark Hole da best), Dustshoot, Monster reborn (optional/not maining in Gk), Heavy Storm (Trunade is out, so no more choice), BTH (beware with Rabbit), Chimeratech + CyDra (Karakuri everywhere)

Maxx C became a staple card now because of swarming...

the only bad thing about maxx C is that it can mill you out when your opponent has a brionac and is playing a fabled deck

I was thinking that but it is more a discussion. Also people have staples for certain deck types. Like Dragon's need Future Fusion. Glads need chariot and Agents need Santuary. But the splashable staples are staples for all of the above. give or take. Does anyone run three MST?

There are some generic staples and some specific staples.

Nowadays many ditch out generic staples for specific staples which only benefit their type of deck but the generic staples are what you would call good staples for any type of deck.

I run 3 msts in my main deck.

The core deck should always have, with a few exceptions as always, Dark Hole, Monster Reborn, and Heavy Storm.

That is the way I see it at least.

In the meta game at the minute, staples would be bth, or dark hole and monster reborn. Then there is the solemn trio, and etc. Maxx "C", effect vieler, torrential and tking are also big semi-staples.

DId you just say agents NEED sancutary in the sky...?! I haven't seen a good agent build ever run that...lmao.

Maxx C and Torrentional Tribute are staples, actually. Not semi-staples. Also, BTH is more of a side deck staple.

I believe Mirror Force has lost Staple Status, as it cannot stop Inzektors, Hyperion, etc., etc., while as Torrential can do pretty much the same, but stops them much faster.

No offense to anyone from yugioh wikia,but the wikia is pretty awful for gameplay tips,with the "advice" for decks/staples there awful,cheerful coffin,fine,fabled chawa and krus in dark world,listing dandylion,reborn tengu,D.D. crow,bwinggale,seven tools,mist wurm,thought ruler and so forth as semi staples,and other odd things that wouldnt work for real,you should really only be there for rulings or seeing new cards.
