Solved Rust Mist and Apex Avian

Well. I was wondering, if Apex was summoned from that Ninjitsu (picture of Yae in it) and Rust Mist has been face-up on the field before Apex came out, can Apex negate the effect of Rust Mist and Destroy it? Rust Mist is continous and I wanted to know if the half ATK effect counts as activating.

I'm guessing yes.

You can activate the effect of "Mist Valley Apex Avian" in Chain to the activation of the effect of a face-up Continuous Spell/Trap Card

at least OCG ruling says rust mist does activate.

It has a colon, therefore it is an activating effect.
