Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
So I ran into this situation today, and I want to double check the ruling:
Turn Player (me): controls a face up Evoltile Najasho with a Evo-Force in hand
Player B: has a set s/t
Player A activates Evo-Force tributing Evoltile Najasho, Najasho's effect is chosen
Player B has no response
Player A Summons a Evolsaur Diplo from the deck when Evo-Force resolves.
Now what happens? here's what I thought:
Chain 1: Najasho's effect activate immediately after the evo-force chain resolves, correct?
If so, does Diplo's effect miss the timing since it says when...you can. Alternatively, since the activation of najasho's effect happens without changing anything, Diplo's effect activates chain 2 targeting Player B's set s/t
Chain 3: Player B activates Bottomless
Bottomless resolves, banishing Diplo
Najasho resolves, summoning evolsaur Cerato.
Here's another possibility (which i thought was wrong):
When evo-force resolves, Diplo hits field. Diplo retains priority, targeting Player B's set s/t.
Then Najasho's eff activates chain 2.
Player B activates Bottomless trap hole chain 3.
Bottomless resolves, banishing Diplo
Najasho resolves, summoning evolsaur Cerato.
Can someone clarify this for me?
Also, this sounds silly, but effects such as Najasho and Sangan activate and resolve separately, correct? as in you can chain other effects to their activations

Re: Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
"If... can" = no miss the timing
"when... can" = can miss the timing
Also I am not too sure, but sangan active during damage step... some chain are forbidden during damage step
And I don't think that bottomless is CL3

Re: Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
The chain after Evo-Force resolves:
CL1: Evoltile Najasho
CL2: Evolsaur Diplo
Evolsar Diplo can't miss his timing since he's mandatory.

Re: Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
You're right about Diplo can't miss the timing, but your Chain is wrong.Tcbskater wrote:The chain after Evo-Force resolves:

Since Diplo is mandatory, Najasho is optional, that's mean:
CL1: Evolsaur Diplo
CL2: Evoltile Najasho
Chain resolves backward.

Derp. Overlooked that part.
Re: Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
Najasho will miss the timing
You will summon the evolsaur from evo-force, but not one from najasho's effect, since it is optional

Najasho says "If." He can't miss timing.
Re: Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
Najasho's eff is Optional with the phrase "If ... you can ...", it doesn't have a timing to miss.

Najasho says "If." He can't miss timing.
Also it's common sense.
I dare you to show me an effect where tributing is not a cost.
If najash effect could miss the timing, then it's eff would be worthless.

Magical Dimension ?
"Tributing a monster for "Magical Dimension" is not a cost; it's part of the effect and happens when the effect resolves. If the effect of "Magical Dimension" is negated then you do not Tribute a monster."

Re: Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
For the most part hes right though, tributing is almost always a cost.kangtuji wrote:

Re: Evoltile Najasho & Missing the Timing
Been wondering about this too, I asked and neither misses the timing, nothing misses the timing with this. Even if you replace Diplo with Darwinos/Volcano/Elias, etc, nothing will still miss the timing. Can't remember why, but Bunny had confirmed this to me.
