Except that Konami RARELY makes any money like that. Why? Because it's all on the secondary market. They don't buy packs from card shops, they buy singles because the odds of getting anything valuable out of packs are so slim. You think they make 100s of dollars on Duality? No. They make the 4.00+ off the DREV pack that it most likely ISNT in. And we all know that we're better off spending the money buying the single than on the product in hopes of getting lucky.

True enough though by "Card Shops" was already targeting Singles anyways..

Exactly. Konami no longer makes any money on sets after their release. They know it, and that's why they don't continue printing the packs.

I have to disagree with you man.Dueling network had all ocg cards as well and that means ocg players could test their cards before they buy them

DREV is out of print but sites who sell singles get them from boosters so konami still sells them.

Wrong. Packs are discontinued to keep from flooding the market.

The fact that there was no money being collected only helps BLS and DN.

What seems to be the problem was the use of images and names, if anything, and supposing this reaches court, worst case scenario, it would certainly anger the masses that have gathered to play a children's card game. Konami seems to have been moving in a more casual direction from Upper Deck, as shown by the fact DaD is no longer 200$, and many other expensive cards were made far more accesible. We should be happy we have Konami to deal with, if this ends up being true.

In the meantime, rash action is unacceptable.

I joined to yugioh online 3 today.I wasn't impressed really first with the ban list because i saw yugi and other characters to play different kind of cards that in real life are banned.And second you begin with a SUCK deck xD

I think that mostly has to do with the fact that DN is more of an "in the know" type of entity. I myself never heard of it until earlier this week. Now...say it's advertised at Wal-Mart...

Besides, DN's Size form what i can see doesn't have enough members to even make a dent in the heel of the Corp's pocket. No need to worry
