VantageSP's GFX Competion 1: Terrible Lightning!

Dueling Network's first GFX competition has arrived! Here is your chance to prove yourself, and show how good you are at GFX. This competition is made to test your skills!

Rules:
1. One entry per member. This also means no multi-accounting for extra entries. If you are caught doing this you will be disqualified and may not be able to participate in future competitions.

2. No editing your entry. Once you have posted your entry there is no going back. Posting your submission then editing your post with a new/revised version is not allowed and will result in disqualification. You can however, edit the text in your post (not in your pic though!)

3. Topic starter cannot enter contest. This obviously means the person who starts the contest cannot enter. So I will not be entering.

4. Please refrain from commenting on others entries in this topic. I want to avoid any possible doubt, pressure,etc. that may come from other members constantly judging others works. This is a submission topic, not a judging topic.

5.Forum Rules apply. So no nudity, profanity, etc. Posting something like this will cause disqualification and a staff member will be contacted to handle the matter at their own discretion..

6. Please disable your signature. If you do not know how, look under the text posting box and un-check
"Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)". This is too avoid any confusion or bias.

7.Winner will be chosen by topic starter or a panel of judges chosen by the topic starter. The panel of judges are not aloud to enter the completion.
-If their is 15 or more entries , winner will be chosen by peer voting similar to how the avatar contests are done.
- Peer voting means a new topic will be made where members will vote for their favourite, the one with the most votes wins!
- During peer voting you cannot vote for your own.

8.Only post if you are submitting something, do not post useless comments, pointless stuff, etc. Simpley put... no spam. You may, however, post that you are entering the contest so I have on record how many/who is entering. You can also include additional comments with these posts, but they must follow these rules.

The Criteria:

Like I said this contest is to test both your GFX skill and your creativity. In this contest you will be given a bad quality, poorly rendered image. You must take this image and make a 450 X 150 image. This new image is meant to be a signature sized/style image.



Here is the specific criteria:
-450 x 150
-MUST incorporate the image somewhere in the sig
-The image provided should be the focal point
-Include your username in a nice font somewhere on the image. (I would specify a font but I don't want to have people complaining that they don't have that font).
-Use the colour scheme found in the picture. Lighting/shading can be adjusted to your liking.
-No other image files may be used. You can use brushes, stamps,filters, etc. to stylize your work instead. You may also edit the image as much as you want.
-You MUST use this image. You cannot use the original image. If I find out you used the original image you will be disqualified.
-Must either be a .png or .jpeg file. No .psd,etc.
-A winner will be picked by the end of July (31st).

Now, have fun and participate! Don't fret if you don't win. Not winning does not reflect on your skills to a certain extent. You may be good, but we/I might like one better because we/I personally like it. The beauty of art is up to the perception of the one viewing it. Just remember that, don't get discouraged because someone does not like your art, chances are, someone else will!

No. I purposely made the image look bad for the contest.

Here's my entry. Not very good but thats what happens when you cant work with your gfx folders

Any more contestants? I am bumping this. Not in the sense that it needs to be bumped in its particular section, but to bump it into the recent posts section.

I would like to enter. I always wanted to freshen up on my PS skills, so here's my chance.

I only know the basics, can't really do anything amazing like you see everywhere else. But I'm proud of it.
