Future Visions Rulings
I just started experimenting with other decks but I wanted to check the ruling on the Future Visions Field Card since I was told that Setting a monster in face-down defense bypasses the effect of RFG the monster since Setting is not a Normal Summon. Is this true?
I've tried looking into it and the rule seems sound, considering even though Setting takes up your Normal Summon on your turn it's still a completely different action to Normal Summoning. But I would love some confirmation.

Setting is not considered a summoning so Future Visions effect won't activate.

It only triggers on normal summon, not on set. When anything triggers on set the card will tell you that it triggers on set (like cosmobeet).

Re: Future Visions Rulings
Erm, bumping with another question about Visions:
I've run into situations where people Tribute Summon a monster with a Trigger effect when it's summoned onto the field to remove cards off my field then they RFG the monster.
Isn't it that when they Normal Summon, including Tribute, they have to RFG the monster since Visions has to RFG before the monster triggers it's effect on summon?

No FV doesn't stop the monster who trigger on Normal Summon instead they form a chain.

Huh. Interesting. Gonna have to grab a rulebook and back to reading about Chains for the gajillionth time. Never sorted them out since they usually baffled me. @_@;;

Re: Future Visions Rulings
@Kang: Basic answer is yes because Future Visions is a trigger effect rather than a continuous one.

Re: Future Visions Rulings
Don't use the word Trigger Effect for Spell and Trap Card, it's misleading.
