Welcome members to Dueling Network Forums Latest Tournament!

This tournament will take place from August 19th - September 4th. Since this tournament will be taking place partly during the new ban list I just want to add that you CANNOT adjust your deck on September 1st according to the new banlist. You must use the March 2011 banlist.

Sign up ends on August 18th at 11:59pm Eastern Time. (North America)

NOTE: If we do not receive 32 participants by this time, the deadline will be extended until we receive 32 participants.

This tournament will be a simple and quick single elimination tournament. Hopefully it will take no more than a couple of weeks to complete.

*Prize*
The prize for this tournament is a custom avatar for your DN account! This avatar will last for 1 month. It also must be appropriate (meaning: no nudity, vulgarity, alcohol/drug references, advertising and the like).

Single Elimination Tournament Rules:
- This tournament will be played under the Advanced TCG Format.
- This format follows the March 1st, 2011 banlist. Please make sure you are aware of the banlist before signing up to this tournament. The current TCG banlist can be found here: http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/
- OGC or non-TCG legal cards will be forbidden in this tournament. Use of such cards will be punished with a game loss or disqualification accordingly.
- Changing your deck or side deck between rounds will not be allowed at any point in the tournament. Side Decking is permitted.
- To win a match you must defeat an opponent two out of three times. The loser of a duel gets to decide who goes first at the start of the next duel.
- Once you lose a match, you are eliminated.

Signing Up
- You must have at least 20 posts in the Dueling Network forums to sign up to this tournament.
- You must be able to commit time in the next 2 weeks to dueling and completing your matches for this tournament.
- When signing up please STATE your dueling network name. Failure to do so will mean that your sign up will not be accepted.
- You may also want to include contact information for your opponent(s).
- Upon successful Registration to this tournament, your name will appear on the accepted list. Names listed here must send a copy of their Decklist (Side Deck included) to vantagesp15@gmail.com before match ups can be given.

Completing your match
- When match ups are posted be sure you use the forum PM system to contact your opponent and complete your match before the allotted time.
- Any other contact method can also be used.
- There will be no excuses for not completing a match and disqualification will happen no questions asked.

Q.Are Generation force cards legal in this tournament?
A.Yes they are. Since this tournament takes place after its release they will be legal for this event. Any set above GENF, or any set/cards not legal until after the 19th are NOT allowed.

A. Use proxies. Make sure you tell your opponent before hand. Since this should be near the end of the tournament it shouldn't cause to many problems. If possible, I would like it to end before the 1st.

Hi there, I've never played in a DN tournament so I don't know how things work and I have a few questions:

Would you accept more than 32 players?

Is there a site application for side-decking in tournament matches, or would you have to remake your deck with sided cards in before games 2 and 3?

How do you organise a time to play your given opponent; do you have to contact him; if yes, how?

How do you confirm a win/ loss?

Where will the time limits on each round be posted?

That is a good question, I will have to ask either Det, BLS, Pikachu about this because I am unfamiliar with the answer.

-32 players is the limit
-No there is not. When sending me your decklist include your side deck. Between games you are allowed to use this side deck. If you are caught using cards not included in your decklist you will be DQed.
-Members are posting the best way to contact them here in this topic. Use that for best results. The Dn or DN forum PM system also works well.
-To confirm a win/loss you and your opponent must send me the results.
-Most Likely not

You did had less than 20 posts when i posted i (even after vantage had reinstated the rules, Also i dont expect someone to post without the posts and then go on a post spree. moreover i expect him/her to post when he does have the 20 posts) but it was in General.

Nothing tells you that vantage will overlook your post just cause of this so dont imply that either.
