meklord astro mekanikle and chaos infinity

Does this combo work? Cause i get people saying it does and it doesnt. i think it does my reason:

Meklord astro mekanikle:
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 3 other "Meklord" monsters from your hand to the Graveyard.

Chaos infinity:
Change all Defense Position monsters on the field to face-up Attack Position. Then, Special Summon 1 "Meklord" monster from your Deck or your Graveyard. Its effect is negated, and it is destroyed during this turn's End Phase.

So shouldnt i be able to summon him? Cause it negates his effect of having to send 3 other "Meklords" His summoning coditions are "This card cannot be normal summoned or set.
His effect is This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 3 other "Meklord" monsters from your hand to the Graveyard. So i should be able to summon him

Chaos infinity negate the summoned monster effect, not the summon condition.

Mekanikle can only be special summoned by Sending 3 other Meklords from your hand to grave.

That and nothing else, so your combo doesn't work.
