Meklord vs AoJ Catastor

Just now in my duel:
My field got meklord fortress, meklord emperor granel, stardust dragon, scrap beast. My opponent got AoJ catastor only. I got 4400 lp while opponent 800 lp. His turn use catastor to attack my granel but I think granel didnt destroyed by its eff due to the field spell. Opponent say catastor can destroy by its eff. So how to solve this??? (ignore the stardust negate eff)

Your opponent was correct, though I don't understand his reason at all. Catastor's effect doesn't target, and Meklord Fortress only stops targeting effects, so Granel would be destroyed unless you use Stardust.

Really? That time I forgot to use stardust to negate the destruction but luckily the duel ended in a draw lol.
