The Dangerous Sky : Clash Between the Sun and Moon (Preview)

I'm going to continue my other Fan Fic. The reason I have yet to bring out a new Chapter is because of this. This is a school project. We need to write an "EPIC" or what people know now as Super Hero type stories. So here is the first few paragraphs of the story. So this way if you guys want to see the finished project in a few months I'll post it.
Bullets flying by me one by one cutting off my hair and burning the skin of my face from the heat. As I duck behind a rock I’m hit in the shoulder. “Mizuki (Mee-Zue-Kee) you need to give up. You already know that I’m the better shot here.” I yell out while holding my arm in pain. The bullet was lodged deeply into my arm. “You say that, but you’re wounded and in pain sister. I’ll enjoy this…” Mizuki calls out giggling. The skin on my arm was starting to bubble from the heat of the bullet. “Take it from me Mizuki; this fight is far from over for me.” I knew this was a lie. The pain in my arm was getting worse, if I didn’t finish this now it would be over for me.
“Make your move soon sister or I’ll just destroy the rock along with you.” Mizuki states as she begins to change clips. I do the same and look over to see a fallen tree branch. “It’s decided now… Your death will be today.” My words weak I was still in pain from the shot. I throw the branch out as a distraction and swing out the other side guns blazing, bullets flying. I got it, a hit, one to the thigh. I continue to shoot as one of my guns jam. Passing trees dodging bullets left and right still feeling the heat from each bullet burning the skin of my face. As I near Mizuki I throw my jammed gun towards her in hopes to hit her.
“Tactics like that won’t work sister.” Mizuki smirks as she shoots my thrown gun out of the air. Running out of trees for cover I use the last one to my advantage. I run up the tree and pivot my foot, using the momentum from the run to dive off the tree guns still blazing. We both graze the others arm. As I hit the ground I quickly pull up and point my gun to Mizuki’s head only to notice she beat me to it. “So sister, it comes down to this.” As Mizuki keeps the smirk from earlier. “It’s been fun.” Both of us pull the trigger and clicks echo into the pitch black sky.
My name is Okazaki (Oh-Ka-Zah-Kee) Taiyo (Ty-Yo). I’m a 17 year old female Bounty Hunter living alone. I have long black flowing hair down to my knees, eyes the color of the summer sky and pale white skin. I live in the city of Ushio (Yu-Shee-Oh) and attending Kirari Hikaru High School. A school to train students to be assassins . I’m currently the schools top student. I found a good job on the side as a bounty hunter when I found out I had an unexpected power.
It happened last year. I was walking home on a late night from my friend’s house when I noticed I was being followed. Trying to shake the pursuer I walked through backyards and taking every shortcut I could. It was no use and the stalker caught me. “Scream and you die little lady.” The stalker said to me holding a knife to my neck. With him not knowing I was trained for this type of thing I disarm him and pull out my pistol. “You’re not too smart to be trying that on a trained assassin and think you can get away with it.” The man scared for his life tries to flee tripping over himself and falling onto his knife piercing him through the heart.
As the stalker lay dying I searched him for some kind of I.D. “Sendo (Sen-Doh) Ryuu (Ree-Yu) is it? Seems like you’re on the wanted list. I’ll just turn over your body to the government and collect the pay.” Just then suddenly a white orb of light rose from the man’s body and soon entered my right eye. The pain was sharp. I started to see the stalker’s life pass by in my head from birth till now. His soul was absorbed into my eye. A flame the color of my eyes emerged from it. It didn’t burn me, but it felt as though I was stronger.
Ever since that day I tried to figure out this power. From what I’ve learned so far is that it absorbs the souls of those who have sinned, but only if I them. So to become stronger I’ve decided to hunt those who are terrorizing others for cash and to see how this power will help me in the long run.
August 30th the first day of my last year at high school. I meet up down the road with my close friends and classmates Kai (Kie), Yuma (Yu-Mah) and Nao (Ney-Ow). All of them are in their last year of school like me and are well renowned in the school. “So Taiyo I see you’re making a name for yourself as a Bounty Hunter.” Kai states as he places his hands behind his head. “It must be nice being able to live by yourself.” Nao says as she walks over and pats my back. “Only Taiyo can mange that at her age.” Comments Yuma as she checks her phone.
Kai is a tall lanky boy with brown hair and brown eyes. He’s very outgoing and likes to mess around a lot after school hours. He gets average grades when it comes to writing tests and decent grades on physical tests. His specialty is “Explosives.” Yuma is a small girl with long flowing blonde hair and green eyes. She’s only about 5ft tall and doesn’t weigh any more then 120lbs. Her grades are that of a genius, but she’s not too good with physical tests. She’s the all round weapons expert of the group. Nao is the shy one of the group. She has short purple hair and white eyes. She’s average height and very skinny. Her shyness makes her very good at concealing herself. This feat gave her the nickname “Black Mist.” She gets subpar grades in writing tests, but is amazing with physical tests. Nao is the “Blade” specialist and has over 300 types of knifes, swords and other blades at her house.
As we were walking to school we stopped at the café to get breakfast. The news was on and they were talking about how the city has been having more murders lately. “Seems like you’re going to have it rough these next few weeks Taiyo.” Nao explained as she fiddled with her butterfly knife . “Seems like it Nao.” I reply not paying attention to the news. “This just in! We have video of who we think is the culprit of the increase in murders.” The news woman explains as they begin to show the video. I couldn’t believe it! The person in the video was me! Or she looked just like me I should say, but there was one thing that was similar that couldn’t be helped. Her right eye had a flame coming out of it just like mine. I don’t remember killing any innocent people whatsoever. Who was this girl? “Hey Taiyo if I didn’t know any better that girl looked a lot like yourself.” Kai proclaims as he takes a bite out of his bagel. “Did she? But I haven’t had a job in a few weeks… Plus I don’t kill just anybody… I only kill those who are on a wanted list. They wouldn’t show that on the news.” I start to explain as I look away from the TV and continue to drink my cup of coffee.
After the café we all headed to school for the opening ceremony and entrance tests. The entrance tests were easy for me. 100% both physical and writing. “Wow Taiyo. Again you beat us all. We should have guessed.” States Yuma as she begins to clean her M9 . “So what are we all going to do after school today?” Asks Kai with a smug look on his face. Just then I got a text that read “We have a job for you. A small job with an escaped felon.” “Do you guys want to accompany me on a job?” I ask while replying to the text. “Sure!” Everyone yells.
Later on that day after school we all met up at my house and got ready. “You guys know this can be an all night thing. So if you don’t want to come you can leave now.” I state while I pack my gear. “We’re all good with it Taiyo.” Kai explains as he starts stuffing his backpack with C4 . We all head out with the clues we already have. It seemed like the felon was staying at a friend’s house from what we know. So that’s our first target. We get to the house and get set up. The house was rundown and very old. It looked as if it would fall down at any moment. “Alright guys… This guy is a trained assassin like us and he’s not a push over.” As we get into our positions I notice a red light/aura coming from the alleyway down the road. I decide to ignore it, the job was more important. Nao entered the house through the attic window as Kai and Yuma set up plastic explosives around the perimeter of the house as a just in case situation as I entered the second floor bedroom window. Radio communications quiet, dead silent. The house was so silent that you could hear a pen drop.
*CRACK!* I stepped on a broken floorboard! What a rookie mistake! The lights turn on throughout the house and I hear commotion from downstairs. I needed to find a place to hide and quick. I heard them, footstep by footstep closer and closer up the stairs each step getting louder and heavier. Time running short and nowhere to hide I hear a metal cling above me. Nao on the floor above me found a small hole and started to signal me. She dropped a small switch blade down to me. This job was needed to be as quiet as possible and I didn’t want to use my guns, those are a last resort. I hear the men whispering back and forth to each other outside the door. The door knob starts to turn and I get prepared for the fight. The door opens and ten men pile in 5 of them all armed with M16 ’s. I then knew this wasn’t going to be a quiet fight, but I didn’t have time to grab my gun.
Just then I noticed something. My target wasn’t in the group of men! Not thinking anymore than I had to I dash towards the 5 men before they can react. I stab one; they start reacting and begin to shoot. One shoots his partner and Nao comes from behind slashing the others. “Everyone, the target isn’t in sight! Whatever you do watch the perimeter!” I yell with all my might. More men now running up the stairs I pull out my pistol and dash around the corner taking out each man with a quick shot to the gut. Looking for my target I hear a loud scream outside, Yuma’s voice. “Let me go!!” I’ve never heard her scream like this before. I dash outside the front door ignoring my job. I couldn’t take my eyes off the sight… It was nothing that I could ever wash out of my mind… I was standing on a tree branch holding Yuma in my arms with a gun pointed at her head. Or at least the girl holding her looked exactly like me, but almost completely inverted . She wore my clothes and had my color and length hair, but instead of black they were white and her eyes were the color of a crimson sun burning in the distance and a smirk that of a devil.
“Hello sister Taiyo. I’m here to ruin you and your pitiful world.” The girl states as she continues to choke Yuma in her arm. “What do you want?! And why are you calling me your sister?!” I yell to the girl while trying to think of a way to get Yuma out of the way for a clean shot. Suddenly I see Nao dash towards the girl with a katana in hand and the intent to kill. Without hesitation the girl swung around and fired 7 bullets into Nao’s body in less than 2 seconds. Nao dropped straight down to the ground and was motionless; the worst was running through my head. I was going to die and so were my friends… The fear ran all the way through my body from head to toe.
“What a foolish girl. She would have lived if she didn’t interfere. The only one here at this moment in time that I want to kill is you sister Taiyo.” The girl states in a pouting tone. She wasn’t very mature personality wise, but the skill with her gun is right there with mine. She continues to explain “Follow me and I’ll let these others go with no harm whatsoever.” From what I’ve seen this was my best choice. The other two would just get in the way like Nao did. “Ok fine then just let Yuma go and I’ll come with you.” The girl released Yuma “Ok sister follow me quickly or I won’t let there be any survivors.” She explains jumping into the darkness of the close alleyway. “Kai, get Nao to the hospital asap and I’ll meet up with you guys later!” “Don’t die Taiyo!” Kai calls out to me as I dash into the alleyway after the girl.
I caught up to the girl and was ready for whatever she had planned or so at least I thought I was. “So you fulfilled your promise of coming alone.” The girl says as she begins to giggle. “As you know I call you my sister and you’re wondering why I look exactly like you… Well Taiyo sorry to say this, but I am you, but from an alternate dimension .” Chills ran through my spine. I was stunned, the statement was too much to handle. I believed it only because it was the only logical explanation. The girl then put her arm out besides her revealing an amulet . Just then a portal was opened and showed a dead dark world. In it was a sky of pure black, trees dying with purple leaves and blueish gray bark, and grass of teal . “This is where I came from. This world is the dimension that separates yours and mine. So now that you know that I’m the complete opposite from yourself can you guess my name if yours means “The Sun”?” The girl asks as she gives a 45 degree head tilt continuing to give an evil smirk. “Mizuki or “The Moon”.” I answer in no time at all. “Ding-ding-ding. You win sister. For your prize you’ll fight me to the death in this dimension.” I agree to the terms and she proceeds to jumps into the portal and insists me to follow her.
“Ok sister, here are the rules. Rule #1 You make your own rules.” Just then she pulled out her gun and shot fast enough that if I had taken even a millisecond longer to dodge it would have hit me. “Nice dodge sister, but to win this fight you need to use your weapons as well.” Mizuki giggles as she continues to fire. I return fire and try to hit her only to find she was dodging bullets so easily.

“Well that was unexpected.” Mizuki explains beginning to giggle uncontrollably. I take the opportunity to swing with full might with my uninjured arm landing a blow to her face so fiercely it could have been heard for miles. Mizuki begins to get up still giggling. “That wasn’t too nice sister. I think I might have died if that were any harder.” She proclaims holding her bleeding face. “What do you think I was trying to do? You said this was a fight to the death.” I state as I bring my fist back to waste level. Just then she jumped up and landed a clean blow to my chin pushing me back about 5ft. It was so hard I could feel the shock from the impact course through my body. Still weak from the bullet in my arm and the graze from a minute ago the pain was unbearable and I fell to my knees. Mizuki then ran over and landed a swift clean kick to the side of my face launching me a few feet in the opposite direction.
“You’ve lost sister. I’ve won and now after I kill you I’ll just kill all of your friend’s just like that poor Nao girl.” Mizuki explained letting out a sinister laugh. The thought of her beating me made my blood boil with rage. This wasn’t how I wanted to die. Just then I noticed my jammed gun was about a foot away and Mizuki was walking slowly over to me. My only hope to winning this was to see if her shot happened to loosen the bullet and in turn unjammed it. In one swift motion I pick up the gun swing around and pull the trigger…
*BOOM!* The gun fired! It was the only thing that could save me and it worked. I landed the bullet right in between her eyes. “Nice… Shot… Sist-.” Mizuki dropped to the ground blood spilling out of her forehead. I felt sorry for her… If she’d only have had a good heart. Just as I begin to walk away and back to the portal I look back to see Mizuki’s right eye let out a flame of red just like mine of blue. Souls flew out the her eye and past me into the portal and into our dimension lighting up the sky in an array of blue and white lights one last soul came forth from Mizuki’s eye this one was instead red… It gleamed with a flaming aura soon shooting over and into my right eye. Mizuki’s life passed by me and her soul was absorbed into my eye. The flame from my eye emerged and began to grow over twice its original size.
I get back to my dimension and quickly run to the hospital to find that Nao is fine and will recover. She was badly wounded, but they said that the bullets suddenly disappeared and her wounds began to heal on their own. The increase in murders suddenly stopped and the man we were hunting that night turned himself in fearing for his life. Everyone including Nao graduated from the academy and went on to pursue their dreams in careers ranging from being Hitman to being in the FBI. I myself continued to be a bounty hunter and have been living in the same town for the past 70 years after that fateful night. Soon I’ll die and become a legend in this town as the “Blue Flame.” Nobody will remember my story and it’ll soon be forgotten. “It’s been fun sister. Let’s do it again sometime shall we?”

“What a foolish girl. She would have lived if she didn’t interfere. The only one here at this moment in time that I want to kill is you sister Taiyo.” The girl states in a pouting tone. She wasn’t very mature personality wise, but the skill with her gun is right there with mine. She continues to explain “Follow me and I’ll let these others go with no harm whatsoever.” From what I’ve seen this was my best choice. The other two would just get in the way like Nao did. “Ok fine then just let Yuma go and I’ll come with you.” The girl released Yuma “Ok sister follow me quickly or I won’t let there be any survivors.” She explains jumping into the darkness of the close alleyway. “Kai, get Nao to the hospital asap and I’ll meet up with you guys later!” “Don’t die Taiyo!” Kai calls out to me as I dash into the alleyway after the girl.
I caught up to the girl and was ready for whatever she had planned or so at least I thought I was. “So you fulfilled your promise of coming alone.” The girl says as she begins to giggle. “As you know I call you my sister and you’re wondering why I look exactly like you… Well Taiyo sorry to say this, but I am you, but from an alternate dimension .” Chills ran through my spine. I was stunned, the statement was too much to handle. I believed it only because it was the only logical explanation. The girl then put her arm out besides her revealing an amulet . Just then a portal was opened and showed a dead dark world. In it was a sky of pure black, trees dying with purple leaves and blueish gray bark, and grass of teal . “This is where I came from. This world is the dimension that separates yours and mine. So now that you know that I’m the complete opposite from yourself can you guess my name if yours means “The Sun”?” The girl asks as she gives a 45 degree head tilt continuing to give an evil smirk. “Mizuki or “The Moon”.” I answer in no time at all. “Ding-ding-ding. You win sister. For your prize you’ll fight me to the death in this dimension.” I agree to the terms and she proceeds to jumps into the portal and insists me to follow her.
“Ok sister, here are the rules. Rule #1 You make your own rules.” Just then she pulled out her gun and shot fast enough that if I had taken even a millisecond longer to dodge it would have hit me. “Nice dodge sister, but to win this fight you need to use your weapons as well.” Mizuki giggles as she continues to fire. I return fire and try to hit her only to find she was dodging bullets so easily.
Bullets flying by me one by one cutting off my hair and burning the skin of my face from the heat. As I duck behind a rock I’m hit in the shoulder. “Mizuki you need to give up. You already know that I’m the better shot here.” I yell out while holding my arm in pain. The bullet was lodged deeply into my arm. “You say that, but you’re wounded and in pain sister. I’ll enjoy this…” Mizuki calls out giggling. The skin on my arm was starting to bubble from the heat of the bullet. “Take it from me Mizuki; this fight is far from over for me.” I knew this was a lie. The pain in my arm was getting worse, if I didn’t finish this now it would be over for me.
“Make your move soon sister or I’ll just destroy the rock along with you.” Mizuki states as she begins to change clips. I do the same and look over to see a fallen tree branch. “It’s decided now… Your death will be today.” My words weak I was still in pain from the shot. I throw the branch out as a distraction and swing out the other side guns blazing, bullets flying. I got it, a hit, one to the thigh. I continue to shoot as one of my guns jam. Passing trees dodging bullets left and right still feeling the heat from each bullet burning the skin of my face. As I near Mizuki I throw my jammed gun towards her in hopes to hit her.
“Tactics like that won’t work sister.” Mizuki smirks as she shoots my thrown gun out of the air. Running out of trees for cover I use the last one to my advantage. I run up the tree and pivot my foot, using the momentum from the run to dive off the tree guns still blazing. We both graze the others arm. As I hit the ground I quickly pull up and point my gun to Mizuki’s head only to notice she beat me to it. “So sister, it comes down to this.” As Mizuki keeps the smirk from earlier. “It’s been fun.” Both of us pull the trigger only to find we’ve both emptied our clips.
“Well that was unexpected.” Mizuki explains beginning to giggle uncontrollably. I take the opportunity to swing with full might with my uninjured arm landing a blow to her face so fiercely it could have been heard for miles. Mizuki begins to get up still giggling. “That wasn’t too nice sister. I think I might have died if that were any harder.” She proclaims holding her bleeding face. “What do you think I was trying to do? You said this was a fight to the death.” I state as I bring my fist back to waste level. Just then she jumped up and landed a clean blow to my chin pushing me back about 5ft. It was so hard I could feel the shock from the impact course through my body. Still weak from the bullet in my arm and the graze from a minute ago the pain was unbearable and I fell to my knees. Mizuki then ran over and landed a swift clean kick to the side of my face launching me a few feet in the opposite direction.
“You’ve lost sister. I’ve won and now after I kill you I’ll just kill all of your friend’s just like that poor Nao girl.” Mizuki explained letting out a sinister laugh. The thought of her beating me made my blood boil with rage. This wasn’t how I wanted to die. Just then I noticed my jammed gun was about a foot away and Mizuki was walking slowly over to me. My only hope to winning this was to see if her shot happened to loosen the bullet and in turn unjammed it. In one swift motion I pick up the gun swing around and pull the trigger…
*BOOM!* The gun fired! It was the only thing that could save me and it worked. I landed the bullet right in between her eyes. “Nice… Shot… Sist-.” Mizuki dropped to the ground blood spilling out of her forehead. I felt sorry for her… If she’d only have had a good heart. Just as I begin to walk away and back to the portal I look back to see Mizuki’s right eye let out a flame of red just like mine of blue. Souls flew out the her eye and past me into the portal and into our dimension lighting up the sky in an array of blue and white lights one last soul came forth from Mizuki’s eye this one was instead red… It gleamed with a flaming aura soon shooting over and into my right eye. Mizuki’s life passed by me and her soul was absorbed into my eye. The flame from my eye emerged and began to grow over twice its original size.
I get back to my dimension and quickly run to the hospital to find that Nao is fine and will recover. She was badly wounded, but they said that the bullets suddenly disappeared and her wounds began to heal on their own. The increase in murders suddenly stopped and the man we were hunting that night turned himself in fearing for his life. Everyone including Nao graduated from the academy and went on to pursue their dreams in careers ranging from being Hitman to being in the FBI. I myself continued to be a bounty hunter and have been living in the same town for the past 70 years after that fateful night. Soon I’ll die and become a legend in this town as the “Blue Flame.” Nobody will remember my story and it’ll soon be forgotten. “It’s been fun sister. Let’s do it again sometime shall we?”

My finished project is done. I'll post it at a later time. I want the paper graded first from teachers. That and revise it a few times and add a few things.
