Book of Moon vs Bottomless Trap Hole

Ok here's another Book of Moon question since every uses it. my opponent summoned his key plant type monster that he he planned o using for our duel and I played my bottomless trap hole card to remove it from the field. Now he played Book of Moon to set it. it was still removed regardless of Book of Moon. He refused to remove it because it was his key card in his deck and was now at a disadvantage against me. Even in the Tag Force series bottomless trap hole vs book of moon on the same monster still caused the monster to get removed. So Am I right on this on or does it get set because this peed me off and he was a new guy too with 174/-34 ranking/reputation. Very annoying.

If it was set first, you don't know the attack, then you can't activate BTH. If it's normal summoned, you know the attack, so you can activate BTH. BoM shouldn't stop BTH....

Actually BoM save the monster from BTH.

" If the opponent Summons a monster, then you activate "Bottomless Trap Hole", and the opponent chains "Book of Moon" to flip the Summoned monster face-down, it is not removed from play by the effect of "Bottomless Trap Hole"."

Both are spell speed 2.You use BTH,you opponent chain with BoM and make his monster face-down - bth needs face-up monster, so bth break up.

bottomless trap hole only affects a monster with 1500 or more atk. If book of moon is chained bth then it will flip the monster face down making that monsters atk unknown. It doesn't matter if you know what the monster's atk is. Face down monsters are considered to have unknown atk and def.

If your opponent summon monster you activate bottomless and the next round you can direct attack, but with the book of moon not. And againts flipp effect monsters the baddest solution.

He didn't ask which is better, he asked what happens when a monster that will be affected by BTH is affected earlier in the chain by Book of Moon. And the bottom line is that BTH "fizzles" like Detonator says, or resolves without effect, meaning that the monster flipped by Book of Moon is NOT removed from play.
