Where do fabled monsters activate their effect? In hand or graveyard.

I know that dark world monsters activate their effect in graveyard, but I am not so sure about fabled? Can anyone tell me? thanks.

Fableds activate in the graveyard. Effect Veiler activates in the hand.

I'm confused. As you can see the wordings between the two are very similar

a lot of people made this common mistake, thinking either the effect activated after the cost payed or effect resolves wherever the card is on resolution.
Effects activated and resolved wherever the card was at the point of it's effect activation. and please note that cost is not done before activation, but rather it is done within the activation itself.

veiler and grimlo effect activated in the hand. you activate their effect, then discard them as a cost.

Fableds that activate "when they are sent to the graveyard" activate in the graveyard.

Fableds like grimro that are activated "by sending to the graveyard" activate in the handby sending to the grave.



Fabled Lurrie for example activates in teh grave, grimro activates in the hand.
