Returning a Synchro to the hand/deck

I've seen people return synchro monsters from the grave to the extra deck when using pot of avarice for example. So I'm guessing they can be targetted in anything that sends them off the field (not grave or RFP) and they just make their way back to the extra deck? Thanks!

when an effect is activated that send monsters back to the deck/hand, synchro/fusion/xyz monsters are just sent back to the extra deck instead.

Of course I keep forgetting extra deck was where you kept fusions haha so the ruling should be the same for both, thanks!

i know it works with effects to return to deck but will it work with effects to add to hand ?(scrap goblin to recycle scrap synchros)

yes. it works the same for both hand and deck.

ANY card that can recover cards to the hand or deck sends the xyz,synchros and fusions to the extra deck
