trap monster xyz units?

can a trap monster be used for xyz summon?

like a monster that was created from a trap? I would think so if you can synchro with them

Incorrect reasoning. You can Synchro with tokens, but you can't Xyz with them, as they are not actual cards that can be piled under the Xyz.

For the same reason you can Xyz with Trap Monsters. They're actual cards that can be piled under the Xyz.

You could have looked on wikia. It says on the 'Xyz Summon' page: 'In OCG/TCG, Trap Monsters can be used as Xyz Materials, but not Token Monsters.'
