Leviathan Dragon

So, let's clear this up.

I was playing someone online, and it goes nicely enough. I'm losing, but hey, it happens. He summons leviathan, and knocks a material off. I'm fine with it. My turn, I attack into leviathan with my stardust (mostly because I had no other choice at the moment), and he knocks off another one and claims that he can do so because it's "once per turn".

Please tell me this is not true. His argument is that since Shi-en can do it, so can Leviathan. And yet I'm pretty darned sure it cannot be done with other cards like zombie master or summoner monk or a lot of other cards.

please tell me this is not true. 2500 atk in one go was broken enough.

Leviathan is an ignition effect. Ignitions can only be done on your turn unless otherwise specified. Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En is a quick effect which can be used on both players turns.

Leviathan Dragon's effect is an Ignition effect. As such it can only be activated during the Main Phase 1 or 2.

On the other hand, Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En has a quick effect. That is why it can be activated during the opponent's turn.

I told the guy they even made a new class for effects like Shien's, but the guy wouldn't believe me.
