Solved Solemn Judgement vs Solemn Judgement?

Ok, so the effect of solemn judgement says negate the activation of a card. So, if I play solemn J, and my opponent plays the same card, would i keep my lp? Or would they still go away?

Paying lifepoint is a cost. There's no way you can even activate Solemn without paying them.
