Eccentric Boy/Forbidden Chalice combo?

Question, if you use Eccentric Boys effect to synch from your hand, and then use forbidden Chalice on the synchro monster you summoned, does the monsters effects return to it, but still get banished when removed from the field? Just asking because Chalice negates the effects until the end phase, and might overrule boys total negation effect.

Eccentric Boy doesn't give an effect to the Synchro monster, it's an effect itself. When you negate the already negated Synchro monster, then in the EP the monster is still negated. And yes, it's still removed when removed from the field.

Eccentric Boy places a condition on the monster that he was used to summon. Forbidden Chalice outside of attack boost won't affect the synchro monster.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering if Chalices effect would prioritize if the monster had an effect before and allow it to gain its effect back. Thanks for clearing that up because I was going to attempt an Eccentric rush deck.

Book of Moon resets the effect negation of Eccentric Boy though.

Yeah I knew that one, but that's limited and for the most part book of mooning my own monster tends to be a waste of it. thanks tho
