DN Tournaments: Late August Single Elimination Round 4!

Does August 19th - 22nd mean from August 19th 12am to August 22nd 12am, and is this going by the System Time?

I would prefer to go by my Time Zone, but to make it easier on everyone I will use the System Time.

Basically August 19th - August 21st 11:59pm.

Me and aluu started dueling and he pinged. he logged back in 5 minutes later and he actually made false accusations about how the game went down. He then proceeded to insult and to tell me to go "F##k" myself, etc. he then said that he refuses to do duel me and that I should just advance.

Let's see. I started to duel my opponent at 4AM. Yeah, freakin' insomnia. Anyway made the room in unrated, the guy joined and when the duel started he said "Damn dude, I got the wrong deck.." When I tried to ask him to show me his hand he suddenly quited. I accepted that. Second try. After a 1 hour duel we almost deck-ed out, he had 1 face-down and his field spell, while I was mastering my sexy Sangan, relying on bulb in grave, 1 face-down prison, and dark hole, tour guide + a normal monster in hand. (The dude 1600 LP, Me 5000 LP)
Then the unhappening happens, my internet dc-es. I was like omfg ************ and so on. Remember, it was 4-5 AM. He asks for a rematch and that pretty much turned me into an animal. The dude who was witness to all this was "The Betrayer". He can confirm everything.

Conclusion now. I don't duel such people. I never do. I better give them their freakin' so claimed win. But I want the staff to take a look at this for the lolz.

1st of all. I don't like how you are implying that I quit the first time bec of something that didn't have to do with the wrong deck. I accidentally forgot to change decks as my set deck was a work in progress. I designated the fortune lady deck for the tourney and if I dueled with the flip effects then I would be dq'ed. You didn't have a sure-win and you can't claim that you did. you had a sangan and I had future visions. I had 7-8 cards left in the deck and a set trap card. Our life points at the time of your net-crash was 3100 (you) and 1600 (me). the fact that my face down was useful and that future visions was on the field gave me a few turns. so don't get all mad that you dc'ed. it was not a sure win. one draw usually changes the duel. You were the one who refused to continue dueling me.

Also, I had no idea that you wanted to see the hand. I i left before the text appeared.

And not a single screenshot was taken that day.

Screenshots should have been taken. I will review the matter and talk to the 2 players.

This is my decision:

One Game was not completed, nor was a match. There is no way to decide a winner from this scenario. All I have to go with for this situation is both players stories (both varying). This makes it very hard to judge (I would have liked some hard proof, like a screenshot). My decision is for both players to redo the match, this is the only way to fairly judge it (with the material given to me to make judgement from). If this match is not conducted, both players will be DQed and the player they would have played next round will get a bye (this is a last resort as I would not want this to happen).

Very Close. Game 1 resulted in deck out. Game 2 was kind of sacky basically it just came down to who drew what. But yeah man awesome games.

Wow reading this page I see a lot of chaos happened. That actually reminds me I have a question. Say you or your opponent disconnects in the middle on a duel. How will that be judged? Either way its a lose-lose situation. Because either that player will get a loss (unfair, as some people's connections are bad and sometimes it's not even your fault you d/c) or that duel will have to be re-done (Also unfair as you could be wrecking your opponent and he/she disconnects and you would have to duel him/her again). And this situation is even more troublesome because a player could fake a disconnect.

Obviously the person who disconnects should get a game loss regardless of whether it was intentional, unless there is some sort of witness who can testify that the opponent had absolutely no chance of winning.

I you feel you have a bad connection, don't join the tournament. It may not be your fault, but if you have a faulty connection, it may not be a good idea to join. Random disconnects do happen. Lets say you are playing and a thunderstorm happens and your power goes out. That is beyond your control. As much as I hate to say this, but a d/c will result in a game lose.

Sorry, me and Phoenix didn't finish our match. We got to play game one but I had to leave. I wouldn't kick phoenix out of the tournament, It's my fault we couldn't finish and he won the game we did get to play.
