Ruling Question
I was thinking of a hypothetical scenario and wondered how it would play out exactly.
Player A has a face up Judgment Dragon and a Ryko in his hand while Player B has a set Mind Crush on the field and a Celri, Guru of Dark World and Grapha on his hand.
Player A summons Judgment Dragon and uses his effect
Player B activates Mind Crush and intentionally declares something wrong like Hyperion
Player A picked Celri and it's discarded
My question is will Celri get special summoned and get to use his effect to discard Grapha, destroy Judgment Dragon with Grapha effect and Special Summon Ryko from Player A's hand?

Re: Ruling Question
So as soon as Celri is discarded Judgment Dragon effect starts? Won't that cause Celri's effect to miss timing since the last thing to happen is not him being discarded?

Re: Ruling Question
Only optional trigger effects can miss the timing. (if you CAN do something) Celri must be special summoned. It will not miss the timing.
Also, the chains go like dest said.

I know you didn't mean it this way, but...
if... can... doesn't miss timing, even thought it's technically optional.
when... can... are the only effects that miss timing.
