I was bored, so I decided to do a guide on the deck I work best with: Rescue Lagia. So.... ya, here's the guide.


The cards



The Vanillas





Sabersaurus:
Level: 4
Type: Vanilla, Dinosaur
Attribute: Earth
Attack: 1900 Def: 500


He's a level 4 vanilla Dinosaur with high attack points. Our best dino for dropping out Lagia. Use 3, always.


Kabazuls:
Level: 4
Type: Vanilla, Dinosaur
Attribute: Water
Attack: 1700 Def: 1500


Clearly, this one is outclassed by Sabersaurus in every way. So, why use it? Because we can't rely on just Sabersaurus for rescuing Lagia. Use 3, or 0. Only don't use it if your deck is more chaos heavy.


Verz Heliotrope:
Level: 4
Type: Vanilla, Rock
Attribute: Dark
Attack: 1950 Def: 650


Here's a nice card. 1950 attack runs over Thunder King and Doomcailiber Knight, and other 1900 beaters. It's also Dark, meaning it's capable of helping us summon Dark Armed Dragon and Black Luster Soldier. But what's the real reason we use it? Rescuing Verz Bahamut. Use 3, always.


Alexandrite Dragon
Level: 4
Type: Vanilla, Dragon
Attribute: Light
Attack: 2000 Def: 100

In Chaos heavy builds, we can use this card over Kabazuls. But in the standard Rescue Lagia build, there is no space, or use for this Dragon. 2000 attack points is nice tho. Use 0 in the standard build, and 3 in chaos builds.



Now for the effect monsters


The Effect Monsters



Rescue Rabbit:
Level: 4
Type: Effect, Beast
Attribute: Earth
Attack: 300 Def: 100

Code:
Effect: This card cannot be special summoned from the deck. You can banish this face up card to special 2 level 4 or lower normal monsters from your deck with the same name. Destroy them in the End Phase. The effect of Rescue Rabbit can only be used once per turn

The reason why this deck exists. Without Rescue Rabbit, we would have no use in all those vanilla monsters. It's pretty self-explanatory. Use 3 or don't run the deck.


Tour Guide From the Underworld
Level: 3
Type: Effect, Fiend
Attribute: Dark
Attack: 1000, Def: 600

Code:
Effect: When this card is normal summoned, you can special summon one level 3 Fiend type monster from your hand or deck. It cannot be used for Synchro, and it's effects are negated.


Looks like Sangan found himself a girlfriend. A really cute one too. Tour Guide is the second most important Effect monster in this deck. Summon Tour Guide, special summon Sangan, exceed summon Leviar, pitch Sangan, summon Rescue Rabbit, then go for a rank 4 exceed. If you don't have Rabbit banished yet, that's why we use Gold Sarcophagus. Use 3 or don't run the deck.


Verz Mandrago
Level: 4
Type: Effect, Plant
Attribute: Dark
Attack 1550, Def 1450

Code:
Effect: If your opponent controls more monsters than you, you can special summon this card from your hand.


No point in running Verz Bahamut if the only Verz we use would be Heliotrope. That's where this cute little guy comes in. Not only is it discard fodder for Bahamut, but it has an awesome effect. Your opponent controls more monsters than you? Drop this guy, then summon a dead in hand Vanilla and go for rank 4 exceed. Not only that but, you can also drop out this guy, then Rescue Rabbit, then bring out 2 more level 4's and go for Shock Ruler or Disigma. Run 3.



Now for the exceeds.


The Exceeds




Evolkaiser Lagia
Rank: 4
Type: Effect, Dragon
Attack: 2400, Def 2000

Code:
Effect: (2 level 4 Dinosaurs) You can detach 2 exceed material from this card to negate the activation of an opponents Spell, Trap, or an attempted normal or special summon and destroy it.

If you never seen this card before, you're gonna say wow. Yes you are. This card is the reason why run 6 Vanilla dinos. It's a freaking Shi En on steroids. It's effect can even be activated in damage step. Just note that it only get's inherent summons, but if your opponent is using a spell or trap that summons, why not just negate that? Run 2-3, Extra deck space is tight, so I use 2 now.


Verz Bahamut
Rank: 4
Type: Effect, Dragon
Attribute: Dark
Attack: 2350 Def 1350

Code:
Effect:(2 level 4 Verz or Steel swarms) Once per turn, you can detach an exceed material from this card to target 1 face up monster your opponent controls: discard 1 Verz or Steel-swarm monster from your hand; gain control of the target.


Looks like boss #2 is also a Dragon. This card is awesome. You can gain control of ANY face up monster your opponent controls, permanently. Judgment Dragon staring you down? Grab control of his ass. Black Luster Soldier? Bring his ass over to your side! I won multiple duels by stealing a JD and blowing up the field with it. Also, apparently if I know my stuff, the discard is not a cost. Run 1-2.


Vylon Disigma
Rank: 4
Type: Effect, Fairy
Attribute: Light
Attack: 2500 Def 2100

Code:
Effect: (3 Level 4 monsters) Once per turn you can detach 1 Exceed material from this card to equip 1 monster your opponent controls to this card. When this card battles a monster with the same attribute as the equipped monster: destroy that monster at the start of damage step (without damage calc)

Bahamut is better, but you won't always have discard fodder. Run 1.


Shock Ruler
Rank: 4
Type: Effect, Fairy
Attribute, Light
Attack: 2300, Def 1600

Code:
Effect: (3 level 4 monsters) Once per turn you can detach 1 exceed material from this card and declare 1 card type (spell, trap or monster) cards of this type can't be activated until your opponents next turn ends.

Self-Explanatory. Run 1


Leviar The Sea Dragon
Rank 3
Type: Effect, Sea-Serpent
Attribute: Wind
Attack: 1800, Def 1600

Code:
Effect: (2 level 3 monsters) Once per turn you can detach 1 exceed material from this card to special summon 1 level 4 or lower banished monster.

The main reason we use Tour Guide. Leviar is great for re-using that Banished rabbit. Use 1-2, extra deck space is tight.

Wind-Up Zenmaines
Rank 3
Type: Effect, Warrior
Attack: 1500, Def 2100

Effect: (2 level 3 monsters) If this card would be destroyed, you can detach and exceed material instead. If you used this effect, during the End Phase: destroy 1 card.

Sometimes we open with Tour Guide, but no banished Rabbit, so we have to summon this guy. Run 1


Evolzar Dolkka
Rank: 4
Type: Effect, Dragon
Attribute: Fire
Attack: 2300 Def: 1700

Code:
Effect: (2 Level 4 Dinosaurs) When an Effect monsters Effect is activated, you can detach 2 exceed materials from this card to negate and destroy it.

Lagia's missing part has been found. Run 1-2.

Rescue Rabbit is busted as all hell, but you have to hand it to Konami to make Vanilla Monsters popular again. Good guide, great deck, it's going to be a very central deck to the format, unless Rabbit gets Rescue Banned (which it should).

Just some minor corrections.

The card "Evolkaiser Lagia" seems cool. It's basically a walking 2400 ATK Solemn Judgment that rests in the extra deck and has no LP cost (only need to xyz it)

Don't really like 9 normals, and I'd only run Heliotrope if with alexandrite in a chaos build.

Imo in Rabbit Ragia, the 6 dinos is all you need.

It's a level 4 floater, which makes Xyz summoning those monsters easier.

Also, why no Leviathan? He can be a pretty useful beatstick to summon with the Tour Guides when Rabbit is not an option.

But the point is: Does Rescue Rabbit needs a guide? Rescue Rabbit is maybe the easiest Deck I ever saw. I just did a 5-min only and I won more than I lost with it. Nice Chaos Idea though. Verz are awesome by themselves.

N, what's your opinion on Verz Ouroboros in the deck? Rank 4, doesn't require specific monsters (similar to Disigma) and has a slew of Trish-esque effects.

Well at least could have done it right, you stated nothing more than obvious, how about you actually explain bit more in depth on how each different cambo could work and how could decks spin out. Maybe what would be good tech choices, what would be bad and good match-ups what to side in etc, the way this is(Don't take me wrong you're on a good path) but the way this is it looks more like a topic that belongs to Deck Construction much more than it does to the Articles section.

You don't make a guide while you're bored, to make a guide it takes time and dedication and much much research while you did none of those. As a member of these forums I demand a better article from you.

Coh is totally shit in this deck... hidan89 maked the Best deck in this topic, -2 gold slow and not need, +1 dim fissure the best defense, +1 prison or Jurrac Velo, but great deck!

I tested Velo instead of Mole, but it seems to be slow and it doesnt work as I supposed. Moreover, Fissure ruins it.
Sarco. It's a bit broken in this deck. TGU + Gold Sarco = GG in almost games. However, I should try without them. Thanks.
