Battle Fader Rulings
Yugioh Wikia lists Battle Fader's effect as a Trigger effect, making it Spell Speed 1. And from the wording, it looks like it is activated during the Attack Response Window.
However, it's an Optional Effect, meaning it won't automatically put itself as Chain Link 1 unless its controller chooses to activate it. Does this mean that I could call Priority to activate "Rush Recklessly", and leave my opponent unable to activate "Battle Fader" due to it being a slower Spell Speed?

Re: Battle Fader Rulings
trigger effects surpase anything else, once the time comes for them to trigger (attack declaration in this case) they will trigger, ignoring any other possible effects, they will go first, there is nothing you can do about that. The only thing they'll go after is segoc.

ITs better when we know the whole situation...
So. what mosnter you have trouble with battle fader ?
Does this mean that I could call Priority to activate "Rush Recklessly", and leave my opponent unable to activate "Battle Fader" due to it being a slower Spell Speed?
Eh... rush recklessly ?
Did you said when you activate this ? Damage step ? beginning of battle ?
Even you use rush recklessly, I think opp still can used their battle fader

When atatck is declared, both player must declare if they would use any Trigger Effect, like Utopia, Battle Fader, or not. If not, then turn player gain priority to respose his own attack and then opponent can use his Trap/Spell to response attack.

He Plays heavy
If you dont do anything
He can play a new card
Then you have the responce to do soemthing

That's a legal action, cause Heavy Storm hasn't resolved yet.

Re: Battle Fader Rulings
The problem were.... after he use heavy, I said nothing to response...
and I start sending my cards to greave (4 set facedown), and after they're in grave, he chained to CoTH ....
and starting raging, well... not raging... ranting...
*scratch head*

Was a legal move. He's activate call before everything was destroyed, so you're good.
Anyway, this is far off from the original topic and discussion should probably stop.

@ Magicknight94
I guess that answers it then. Thanks for the info.
And having re-read the page on SEGOC, the fact that you can chain 2 Mystic Tomatoes (optional Trigger Effects just like Battle Fader) to each other would imply that my question was stupid.
@ kangtuji
Battle Fader can only be used in the Attack Response Window, so... that kind of sets up the situation already...
Btw, I think it would be really great if they explained all this stuff in the rulebook. Response Windows, SEGOC, Missing the Timing, basically all the stuff that people get confused about/what all the rulings are based on. I'm sure it would make the path from Newbie to Pro a lot shorter.

Re: Battle Fader Rulings
You cannot use 2 Battle Fader in same chain. Trigger Effects that special summon themselves cannot be actived at same chain. Just like 2 Gorz, 1 Gorz 1 Tragoedia, 2 T.G Warwolf., etc.

Re: Battle Fader Rulings
So given as SEGOC is applied before other cards can be chained, that means I can't chain "Divine Wrath" to "Sangan" unless it's at the top of the stack, right?

I hate to derail, but when you say no response, you're saying, I do not have a response to heavy storm. Then, when he activates call, you can say, I have a response to call.
