astral barrier and battle fader
can i use battle fader if i made the att into a direct att with astral barrier
sometimes when i try it, im told i cant because a direct att wasnt declared and it was re directed when i activated astral barrier
so how battle fader works does it need the att to direct when declared by my opponent?

As long as it's a direct attack, you can activate Battle Fader

I'm pretty sure Astral Barrier is continuous, so as long as it's applied at attack-declaration window, you can activate Battle Fader

Re: astral barrier and battle fader
k another question some cards like phantom dragon need the opponent to special summon
does it count when my opponent summons or is forced to summon because of my own cards effects?

You special summoned the monsters to his/her side, Phantom Dragon cannot trigger.

Re: astral barrier and battle fader
Wouldn't be too sure at the situation with astral barrier. Battle Fader clearly states "when the opponents monster declares a direct attack". The opponent still declares his attack on the monster, not directly, you only redirect it. I'd say fader can't be used.
If you special summon a monster to the opponents side you can't activate bth/phantom dragon. You summon Lava Golem, and you summon something like nightmare archfiends.
The effect of Inferno Reckless Summon lets the opponent choose the monster summoned and also he summons the monsters.
It all depends on the wording of the card text, just compare them and you'll surely note the difference.
