Inzektor giga-mantis vs black rose dragon

ok i was just given the wrong ruling on this by an admin (cant remember the admins name i think it was like king something) and wanted to post this ruling question since i found an ocg ruling that says something that makes more sense

Inzektor Centipede equipped with gigamantis, both die at the same time by black rose dragon, the effect of gigamantis says to special summon an inzektor other than gigamantis from the graveyard. the admin ruled that no i cannot trying to say that mantis is no longer equipped when they die at the same time. the ocg ruling i found (which gave similar scenerio to this) says this:

"In the case in which Inzektor Giga-Mantis is equipped to Inzektor Dragonfly and both are destroyed simultaneously by the effect of Black Rose Dragon, the effect of Inzektor Giga-Mantis can be activated.However, the effect of Inzektor Dragonfly cannot be activated."

going by this ruling i should have been able to special summon an inzektor from grave since mantis still gets effect correct?

correct. The mod gave you the incorrect ruling.



Gigamantis will trigger, the inzektor it was equiped with will not.
