Discuss The March 2012 Banlist

Complete garbage that does nothing to fix any of the major problems of the format,wind up,inzektor and rabbit,and overhits multiple tier 2 decks that were otherwise fine to promote the new xyz mechanic.

besides the obvious killing of plant tengu, how do you think this list will affect the TCG meta?

I mean, agents and T.G. weren't a major threat in the TCG

t.g agents get there speed cut in half which was one of the major reasons they did so well in ocg

i do find it interesting that reborn tengu was touched o.o

The list is great, looking from the OCG point of view...

All in all this is fail attempt to show TCG has Influence on Banlist

Basically, KONAMI said: "Screw Synchros, now is Xyz era!"

This list does very little to fix the current meta problems, in fact, Wind-Ups, Inzektors and DinoRabbits untouched while banning Trishula and synchro engine for a lot of decks makes their life even easier.

The only think that is enjoyable is that we're not going to see that annoying Trap Dustshoot for a while.

I should be happy because they're giving me an extra Lumina for my Lightsworn deck, but they completely killed the synchroning potential, leaving my main deck extremely damaged right now... at least my Six Sam deck can enjoy the extra Signal.

Now another six months with the same old problems *sigh*

Trap Dustshoot - cheapness is gone, YAYZ!!
Marshmallon - fun card. YAYZ!!
Emergency Teleport - interesting.
Torrential Tribute - Broken with sacred omega. TRIPLE YAYZ!
Reborn Tengu - over due though is it really that big a deal to semi them now with all the xyzing and the main synchroing engine gone?

everything else doesn't effect me much, though i never saw trishula as that big of a threat.

dissapointed not seeing hunter limited or banned though I had a feeling it wouldn't be on the list.
I was hoping to see Dark Magician of Chaos off the ban list though with the upcoming spellcaster archetype, it might have added too much strength to them?
I hope debris dragon can go back up to 2 since the plant engine is dead.

This Ban list makes no sense, I mean sure Plants had insane synchro power and agents heavy search power but common.. Inzectors pop about 3 cards per almost every turn, and wind-up's can send your entire hand to grave before you even draw your first card. The fact that Konami did NOTHING to balance that out proves to me they want Inzektors and Wind-up's to be the only T1 Decks this format. Besides the Six Sam who r moar t 1.5 than t1.

Xyz promotion or not, Tour Guide is the problem TCG card, not Tengu. Hitting Ultimate Offering is just dumb as all of two or three decks use it all of which focus on Xyz Monsters.

Lightsworn players got their Lumina to two, but with three Judgement Dragons it's just insane. And I don't even want to talk about Samurai.

Emergency Teleport and Torrential Tribute to two is the only good thing to come from this.

This list is just so annoying. like others have said its gonna be a long format of playing the same stuff over and over again. its gonna get boring really quick.

They didn't even give Tengu Plants the decency of being raped. They just killed them. They raped TGs, killing their floats and their special summons. This list continues to bury the synchro era for the xyz era, which tbh pisses me off. If it wasnt for the fact that I have an idea for an anti-meta deck, this format would have made me quit. While I like a lot of the changes, I dont like that they didnt touch 3 of the decks already topping at YCS's, and improved the last YCS winning deck. They are trying to widen the gap between tiers 1 and 2.

Never happened that an unreleased card get into an official list. And don't say Allure of Darkness. I don't recall seeing Allure of Darkness in OCG March 2008 F/L list.

that's how a real Yugioh Duelist should look at it,

and im not running the meta decks(Rabbit, Inzecter, Wind-up), it feels GREAT when you beat them Official March 2012 Banlist 2585209286

GRIMLOCK its true what you say, yesterday I play against an Inzektor deck with my Blackwing Deck and it feels great beat them, even with an almost killed deck by KONAMI.

guys synchros ARE NOT DEAD. -.- You just HAVE to go back to the old way of playing synchro decks. Does anyone here remember or know of quickdraw decks? In my opinion quickdraw decks are way faster then plants and can drop shooting quasars like no tomorrow if it is used by a good player. Synchro decks are not dead you just have to go back to the old ways of the synchro! Also, you dont need trishula in an extra deck to win a match. So stop complaining about it. It does suck they did nothing about dino rabbit. However I think it is because photon shockwave is still considered new in tcg. Inzektors did not get hit because they just came out in the tcg. Come september all that will be gone. Just hold your horses abit longer.

I also want to point out that they semi-limited T.tribute for a reason. I am not sure if anyone gets that reason yet lol.

So what your saying is that we went from 2 really good sychro decks to 1. sounds like they are killing them to me.
