Tele back is pretty cool, and am P O'd about not hitting Inzektors or Wind-ups. They are pretty broken but new so sure why not. Can barely beat them... once in a while. Call at three is cool but Dragonsworn will be pretty beast now with Lumina at two. Marshmallon at two and reaper at three is annoying. Does anyone run both of them? Except budget Chaos?

Because Shien's Smoke Signal is on the banlist.
This thread is about said banlist.
Therefore it is relevant to discuss Shi En as Smoke Signal at 2 will affect the deck he is used in.

I foretold this, that soon Xyz will stomp out Synchro. I was right. And eventually, whatever's next will do the same to Xyz. This is the circle of overpwoeredness, a.k.a., KONAMIA's greed.

Fuision didn't get killed and didn't need that. When they came out, synchros were miles better since they were way more convenient to use. That's not the same with XYZ vs Synchros.

Well by all means this is almost exactly like the killing of fusion decks in the beginings of synchro.
I remember my cyber deck loved the game and then they went to one at begining of synchro... dead... and with time we came back to three! all I have to say is that laggia cant stop a 4k machine on field* inzectors or w/e they are, are fast but one threatning roar. let them fill the field Chimerahtech Overdragon for game*

wind up* machines. run 1 super poly* take win*

synchro dead. no, but its no longer cheap* tengu plant needed a hit* and people need to learn to play again.

People have gotten use to big play decks, inzecktor windup and dinorabbit. all the same* dual TT will slow them down* run needle ceiling, stalls them longer*

but we need to remember how to build a deck that can still comeback for game, not just run itself. which i believe really started with chaos deck back when it was big* circles... sad sad*
too many decks out there that have one way to play them* and people become accustomed to it, just for the win* like old blackwing, automatic decks* nothing too it*

take note that fusions did get hit, so to speak, when synchro came out. (comming from a cyber duelist) but take note that they still can beat the new* just like synchro, they can beat the new*

right now, synchro still has MANY options of play from past, as well as fusion* and yes XYZs do have the unlimited terrain at this point in time. but they are beatable*
By all means i think a relinquished deck would probably top most xyz decks* and hes ritual mons.

be the good duelist and beat those that run what everyone is running* go pro or go home* because otherwise you will take a beating from this new meta*

also there are way too many stun cards out there that can be used to kill an xyz deck in its tracks*
and transmigration cards are always good, think anti GB*
that stops deck pull*

*sigh*, fine, I guess I've got to defend konami on this one:

killing synchros: TURN ONE QUASAR YOU BLOODY PONCES.

leaving overpowered archtypes untouched/raping T.G. and Agents: One thing a lot of you are forgetting is that konami started forumlating this after the september banlist, when Dinorabbit and wind-ups barely had a spark of life, and Planttengu, agents, and such were the dominators of tournament play. And as for those complaining about wind-ups and others being untouched, I direct you to that darkworld/armor ninja/otk/ftk deck you have on hand, and say one word: Hypocrisy.

As for those fine with this banlist and taking it like respectable adults, I apologise on behalf of the idiots you've had to listen to on this post, and to those who are wondering what to run this format, I direct you to gravekeepers, banish, and blackwings.

Quite a shame as Reborn Tengu with Phalanx Pike and two other Tengu's in the grave was amazing. And easier to do than Harpie's Queen with Phalanx Pike and five other Harpie's in the grave.

It's funny when we blamed UDE because it's banlist were formats for 2 decks, then Konami cames making good lists and finally dropped all the love of the fans with this piece of dumb list.

Honestly, I will not going to see other decks than Wind Up and Inzektor on the tops, will be boring as hell.

Or we can only hope an emergency ban for all that disagree with this list (almost 80% of YGO players)

Not only this, but Konami slowly made fusion BETTER after the release of synchros with the release of the Omni-heroes and more Dragon support and such. They would sell XYZ like crazy anyway without being selfish. On topic, this list is complete bs. No other way to put it. They hit the tier 1.5 decks and left the tier 1 untouched. This is going to be a long format...may not even play competitively.

Synchro isn't dead, just Plant Synchro, not all Synchro deck. Kill Spore and Glow Up, make the Synchro deck no longer works? Spore and Bulb just an engine from Shining Darkness

Sorry, with no Bulb, no Spore, nor Plant Engine, we still could make Quasar first turn in "Holy Mark" deck. we just need Formula Synchron and 2 Lv5 Synchro monster to Limit Accel Over Synchro

I kind of have an understanding as to why Marshmallon is limited, but does anyone agree with me when I say that it should go the same way as spirit reaper and just be unlimited? Feel more then free to enlighten me, but I just don't think that having the lifepoint loss as well as the indestructible effect makes it anywhere near worth having at one or two. There's just so many ways around it with all the cards that have been released since when it got originally released(piercing damage, card effects, both monster, magic and trap).

I don't know what to say about Trishula. I don't have the card mysefy but seen it in play alot of times. It should really just stay limited to be honest.

Glow up bulb...I have no clue why this has been considered forbidden :l

Spore is a little understandable but not really that tough of a monster apart for synchro summoning.

Torrential Tribute should stay limited in my opinion.

Some parts I agree, some parts I don't. But as everyone knows, this isn't an official banlist, just a predicted banlist. Best wait till March and see if our nightmares unfold or see if we can rest easy. Smile

Trishula is TCG not OCG. Could be a minor mistake or it could mean the ban list is fake. Thats list I would class as predicted still. :l But this list looks much more appropiet now Smile

Quasar can still be ss in one turn (even in turn 1 if you have the correct deck/hand of course) even without spore/striker/bulb

Don't hate on Konami, hate on people who run TCG they screwed everything up. I've said it before many times, the list is understandable and good however that only goes for OCG for TCG we have mayor problems that are caused by many things.

Great! I use Shien's Smoke Signal in my current deck and I'm glad I can squeeze one more in, along with Reinforcement of the Army for three cards to take warriors from the deck.

As for Reborn Tengu, that's an annoying card and I'm glad it's being restricted, if someone has it in their hand it's effect is normally used twice per duel.

Dustshoot was just one of those cards that just had to go. More times then not if you drew this in your opening hand and went first you were more likely to win.

overall this ban list for 2012 looks a bit inbalanced, like no more good plant deck, no more awesom tengu techniques, like i said no more trisuhla but hey there are other ways to banish cards also it is real funny how people want to tris and now they cant use it. the fact konami wants to push out their new cards is just patheic.

Idk why they would ban trish, but that + spore/glow-up and tengu completely destroys plants. They might as well have just gone ahead and banned lonefire and dandy since they're being so blantanly obvious about killing plants.

I don't see the big deal here, I'm quite happy with it, given I play LS.

Having said that, I haven't played for the whole of last format. I bought an LS deck the format before, so everything was cheap etc. etc.

Paying dividends now Razz

I know LS isn't as broke as it used to be, i'm just happy to see my moneys worth.

Although, it's patently obvious that Konami is just trying to make more money, from what I can see.
