Confirmed new banlist

Depending on traps is no longer unreliable. its just not as cool as it used to be. Freind of mine runs back feild like no bodies business and all hes going to do now that heavy storm is back is main 2 starlight. Good fight kid. its not that big a problem. Personaly this is my favorite banlist maybe ever! the only bad thing is they didnt straight up band librarian because for hyper fableds or T.G. draw !@#$ its not going to slow it down that bad... most ive seen and play against only need to pull out one and there feild and hand are bigger than Gods nutsack. But limiting formulae also gave them a boost. Oh and one more thing........GOOOOD BYYYYY FORMULAE MONARCHS!!! WELCOME BACK PERFECT CIRCLE...kinda.

BLS, I was expceted it too come back, since it got releeased in GS4.

Mind Master = he deserve it
Giant Trunade = either this or heavy, this time it'sheavy. next year harpie duster feather

The reason Dewloren got limited to two was because of infinite Trishula OTK and Future Fusion FTK, which abused it and Symbol of Heritage. Hitting Dewloren was the smart thing to do.

And Plants aren't entirely dead yet. All they did was hinder that godforsaken Plant Engine. Other than that, watch them still manage to make a comeback from this list. Unfortunately, Lonefire wasn't Banned, so Plants still get to live another day. =/
Although the use of Plants might decrease, so that's a good thing. o_o

The thing with your list is that Most of the things on here will annoy the bob out of you. If you hate backrow now you'll hate it when they have stardust dragon because of said Summoner monk that you said nobody uses. Summoner monk is broken gets your combos started and if you dont know yet, there will be the crane engine being played now that call and icarus are up. crane engine= +1+control with icarus, or xyz monster that you wont be able to stop with oppression. If you play or played monarchs like i have, pretty much it is going back to perfect circle. Wouldnt be surprised if monarchs started running DAD and e tele again. Id rofl so hard. Its all because heavy is back and noone will be able to do stuff against monarchs now that d.draw is at two.Frog engine is still viable. just add in a spore. Needed for that 1 formula.

Why do people think that we won't get a different list for TCG? Doesn't OCG have Trishula on the list, even when it wasn't released here? Why can't the opposite happen, getting Tengu / Tour Guide on our list?
2 different rules, 2 different games, 2 different lists.

The banlist isn't the worst. BLS will be fun for my bandcamp/chaos deck. Assualt modes just got another chance. Besides, We'll figure out how to handle the metagame.

And if you've forgotten, the company that did the emergency semi-limit on Allure of Darkness was Upper Deck, not Konami. Once OCG got Allure of Darkness, it went back to 3.

That was 3 years ago, and since 09, Upper Deck doesn't have any control over YGO, meaning Konami is in pretty much in total control when it comes to ban lists etc. etc. Face it, Konami will never make a different list for TCG because:

1. It would be pretty pointless, because once they get it (Tengu/Tour Guide), they will go back to 3 again.
2. Konami is smart enough to see that Tengu and Tour Guide etc. bring enough money in for them.

OCG Plants might as well be screwed, TCG plants are laughing at the banlist along with Tour Guide.

Did you see anywhere on the internet any indication that OCG and TCG are going to have different banlists? The whole banlist is made according to OCG Metagame that is why Trishula was at 1 there before it came to USA.

Bad ass bunny. You are correct, They make the meta, we usually just follow along with the net decking, the only deck i think to be original, was uhh...I dont even know actually other than tengu plants but thats because over here its just herp derp. I dont like it honestly...

This ban list is the stupidest thing to happen to yugioh. When people hate back row they cant think of decree? They go heavy storm just so they can set all their own back row. Honestly this format is gonna be a trap stun, nuke format. and noone will recover from that..

i would like to play in Ocg format.. Where we dont have all these slow rulings that just make the game harder to play without knowing complicated rulings. Americans will always tro to make things as easy as they can so when they play its the decks that pilot them, Hence the name <Auto Piloting>

No I didn't, but it is the most logic to me, unless you want Tengu (and Tour Guide) at 3 for another 1 or 2 formats, until there are released in the OCG. Currently, with the Xyz ruling, TCG is playing almost a different game, with different cards and rullings and, of course, the meta is also different, so there should be a different ban list.
Simply see it like this: if there are different rules and TCG exclusives, it is only natural that there will be a different ban list. There isn't any indication that there will be a different ban list, but the arguments that there will be not like "there will be not because it didn't happen before" (not true, it happen twice with Allure and Trishula) or "Tengu and Tour Guide bring money to Konami" (they are sold on the secondary market, which doesn't bring money to them directly) are just meh.

no no, Trishula was way to abuseable at 3 specially during the time Infernities ruled the game. Allure was hit by an emergency banlist cause Tele-DAD was way too dominant deck taking up to 12 slots in top 16. If Darksoul stayed of the list for so long despite being one of the best archytpe search cards out there than I see no reason for such a card like Reborn Tengu who gives boost to many decks to get hit. Even Tour Guide engine can be incorporated into many decks

So you're saying that none of those card should get hit right? And so there isn't reason to create a TCG exclusive ban list. For me that's fine, but those who say that there should be a list, but that it won't because of those meh reasons, are simply wrong. If they want to semi Tengu on the TCG, there isn't anything to stop them, there simply isn't a good enough reason to prevent that, and that is my point. I personnaly think that there will be a different list for the TCG. Wait until this page updates with the TCG list, then we will see if we will separate even more from the OCG or not.

Nelynel and I tested this format... and its officially a 5-minute format. We had 3 or 4 duels... and they all ended by turn 3.

On a side note... time to start maining Light Imprisoning Mirrors.

1st: The list is confirmed for the OCG, not TCG. Until that page is updated, there isn't September 2011 list for TCG. If you were a noob that doesn't go to any forum and only relies in that page for the lists, there isn't a September list yet.

2nd: Wrong, if Konami didn't care about the TCG the packs would have 5 cards, there wouldn't be TCG exclusives (no tengu or Tour guide!) nor tins with reprints of broken cards. Ask Kevin if you don't belive me.
Konami didn't merely translate the cards, they created almost a different game here with the different rules and card (not saying that it is right). So that means, if it is needed, there should be a different ban list and I personnaly think that there will be some differences between the lists.

Lololol, the TCG list isn't on the page yet because it isn't September 2011 yet. As far as anybody should be concerned, the list is now the list is the same for the TCG as well.

Konami is in charge of both OCG and TCG afaik. They both have their departments on which they work independently of each other. Also would you just quit it already Konami is a serious company they would have already announced that Banlist are gonna be different

Any changes would have been announced a la Xyz Ruling. So the possibility of an exclusive list is currently at 2% likelihood. Time to go get the other two lolis I'm missing to complete my playset. =/

God help you. I'm in that boat, but I run rogue decks anyway, so we'll see how the format turns out. I'm excited to bust out Machina Gear again, because Heavy Storm helps it and the set-5-and-end format is officially done, meaning no negating my everything. Fun stuff.

Well, now gold series 4 finally has a real chase card.

The same thing happened to me with the Dragunity deck.

I bought Vajrayanas back when they were $5 each, and Phalanx back when they were $4. Made the deck, didn't like it, then the structure deck came out, everything skyrocketed, and I enjoyed some nice profit.

However, this is very much going to be a "Get BLS or you lose" format, so I'm really pissed...

^Not really, there are other decks which will dominate, like DW and UO Gadgets which didnt get touched.

Decks I see being affected by this

Six Samurai- Absolutely destroyed. Win condition gets limited and search card that enabled win condition gets hit too. They're gonna have to rely on the Naturia synchros now.

Junk Doppel-Smacked by plant engine nerf and debris limit.

Dewloran Loop decks-Goodbye, it was fun.

Formula Monarchs-The only good news was that they didn't limit treeborn again. With fishborg gone the deck's draw engine is gone as well.

Anti-Meta / Anti-Monster-They get hit hard by oppression's ban. I foresee them relying more on fossil dyna than ever. The price of that thing rises every day now... And the new back row hate will hit this deck hard. Time to main Judgment of Anubis or Starlight Road again.

Lightsworn-Meh, they get a boost. Lumina and charge limit still keep the deck from being competitive. Semi necro guardna is nice though.

Twilight-Chaos Sorcerer unlimited and BLS back from the dead? And JD unlimited? Where is my bomb shelter?

Cloudian Quasar Rush-Dead.

Chimeratech OTK-Overload Fusion unlimit makes this deck very, very happy.

T.G.-Very sad with all the back row hate coming back. Really, heavy AND 3 mst? I think konami is overreacting to the set 5 and pass format.

Burn/Final Countdown-Makes sweet love to unlimited gravity bind and is startled when xyz monsters come through the bedroom door.

Blackwings-For once the list doesn't hurt them. Though a third icarus isn't much.

Gladiator Beasts-Loves heavy storm and loves oppression banning.

GKs got hit hard with Heavy and 3 MSTs to rape their Necrovalley.

Gladiator Beasts won't be a top deck this format. Yes, Heavy and MST makes it easier to attack someone's face, but every other deck will have the backrow hate when Gladiators need the backrow to win. A Hero Lives Glad variants might have some traction, but paying half your life points so early on will be dangerous with BLS being able to be dropped out of nowhere.

Not only did Agents not get hit, but with Photon Lead coming out we can expect some crazy swarming. For a cool deck, I was thinking Fabled World Chaos, since BLS is back and Sorc at 3. The new DW support makes it as broke as ever.

Negate the activation of a spell that destroys an S/T on the field, and destroy it, then you get to blow up one of their monsters and burn them equal to its ATK, I think.
