I mean you actually destroy all face up monster your opponent control whats wrong with that, inb4 dark hole kill the facedown.

The problem isn't that it doesn't kill face-down Monsters (which is rare, unless you're facing GK's or a Ryko-Spamming.dek), it's the -1 it inherently is.

I'm not going to challenge you about your card choice, especially since this is a ban list discussion thread, not a discussion of someone's card choice that has nothing to do with what's been unbanned/unlimited/semi-limited/limited in the new list. >___>

Why Call to 0? The card has been losing popularity, and if people are less willing to make room for one they aren't likely to try to make room for two. At best you'll see this give a rise to Jinzo decks or a deck that uses lots of floaters like Sangan, especially with so much backrow hate the is now.

I dont know... I just have a lot of hate for costless revival cards like CotH and Monster Reborn

Reborn and Call aren't that comparable. Yes, both cards revive a monster. However, Reborn is instantaneous and has no major handicap to it. Call, however, is a slow card that while not having a cost does produce a handicap where if it leaves play the monster leaves with it.

It's apparently a "+1" since it stays, but in this meta, Call of the Haunted would only be good with Sangan just to make MST go all "Aw... I wasted myself... "

Using Lightning Vortex in a format with Dark Hole is obviously doing it wrong.

Technically the card would still exist, but it's really silly to call this a "+1". The mechanic demonstrates a type of union between Call and the monster in a sense that if one dies the other will also die.

However, as you mentioned it can still create +1s, but that is dependent on a combo, not Call itself.

BLS in general's a super troll. Twilight's hyped as hell, but it doesn't ignore the fact that they now have a total of 5 Beaters they can drop with 2800+ ATK. Then there's the minor annoyances like Chaos Sorcerer. xD

new list makes my Banishark HERO deck EXTREEMLY broken.

I must say, I really do love playing balanced Plants in this format. I built a deck specifically around dumping, reviving, and abusing Lonefire multiple times in a turn. Granted, I haven't gotten out Quasar, because I hate that thing and will never run it in a deck (they really should have balanced it instead of making it Shi En Barrier with 4000 attack, that attacks twice, that makes a free Shooting Star pop out of nowhere...did I mention you were getting a free Shooting Star?), but I've gone into some nasty plays (examples below)...the banlist did hurt the engine, but you can still play the deck. I don't even run that parasitic loli that's centralizing the meta, I don't even like talking about her. Below is some cool stuff you can do without spending $400.


(This was against Monarch, by the way...they can't +1 every turn, but they can still definitely remove your stuff..thank god for Leviair.)

If you also notice how large our graves are...I love this format because the games are so much longer! You don't get killed in two turns because of double Librarian double Formula into Quasar on turn one...or Double-Edged into three Shi Ens on turn two...or Gottoms and no hand on turn two...The backrow hate really makes it even for both players, because no one gets their turns abruptly stomped on with Solemns everywhere.

With twilight on the rise I expect steelswarm roach's price to rise even faster.

They will, but now Veiler is mained to 3 thanks to that Sanguide engine, and Gravity Bind says no to Synchro Monsters. Sounds like they're trying to punch them in the nuts right now, imho.

That was a joke. That card is a hilarious way to tack extra monster protection and burn damage into your deck and sets up Leviair plays, but it doesn't win games.

I am actually pleased with the list, nothing got terriblyruined, nothing got giant boosts. Sure Lightsworns will rise a bit again and everyone will be trying to go Chaos now thanks to Chaos Sorcerers at 3 and his big brother is home again.

This new list is good except for one thing : Judgment Dragon
Heavy Storm may be trapped with Starlightroad but Mystical Space Typhoon is not, and these are quite enough to say goodbye to the backrow. It's really good cuz I hate tons of ridiculous Solemn, Bottomless, Prison, Torrent,....But releasing all 3 JD is a different story.
It's not simply the "rise" of Lightsworn or Twilight deck. Just thinking about it. 3JD ? 9000 LP. 3 MST and 1 Heavy ? No backrow. How are you gonna survive ? Ofcourse you can survive with Fader, Necro Guarna and even Kuriboh (LOL).
So what you think is going to happen in the game ? Every, every, every deck must has Fader, Necro; or everyone runs Lightsworn; or every duel becomes a race, each player will try to form an OTK as soon as possible (before the Lightsworn player has 4 Lightsworn in Grave).

People who do not see how big of a deal BLS coming back is either a bad player or started playing recently.

Meh, I'm indifferent about this list.

Judgment Dragon worries me, but, considering Lightsworn will stay in the tier 2 dungeon where it belongs, I have no worries.

Pure LS decks are not the concern for this format. Its Twilight w/ 3 JD that is something that should be seriously considered a threat. Considering the deck can have 5 bosses + 2 mini bosses after the fact it is something that should be seen as not only bothersome as 4 of the big bosses can be retrieved via Beckoning Light with the rest able to grabbed Monster Reincarnation.

The majority of twilight decks should still be light, and BLS is light.

Consecrated Light? OR, maybe you can just run Koa'ki Meriu's.

Other than the chaos sorcerers, which are a pain in the butt, the dark part mostly consists of armageddon knights. Many of the boss monsters are dark, but the meat of the deck is light.

And if they already have DAD on the field, well you're screwed anyways.

Not a bad card but more than likely it won't stop a Twilight Deck. If I summon BLS I will pretty much just remove that monster from play.

Which is why you summon it after they summon the boss monster, assuming you survive.

If a twilight deck manages to summon multiple boss monsters in the same turn they are either stacking or drew god. It's more likely that they will summon them one at a time. Mini-catastor is meant to create an opening for you to counter attack IF you managed to survive the initial boss monster drop.

And from your arrogant and dismissive comment, I assume that you run twilight and think that it's unbeatable.

"Boss rush" twilight decks with every possible boss monster in there are inconsistent as hell. Have fun with dead hands with JDs you can't use and sorcerors you can't summon. Your claim that such a deck is competitive only shows inexperienc or ignorance of how the deck works.

How many bosses you run? I remember trying out french twilight and getting horrible hands. But that just may be my luck.
