Dueling Network's Championship Series - Summer 2011

Welcome duelists to the first Dueling Network Championship Series tournament. Now hosted by GoldenSandslash15.

This tournament will test your skills against the best DN has to offer in two rounds: A swiss, and a knock off round. There are several rules you must follow before entering this tournament so please read the rules carefully before signing up!

General Tournament Rules:

The tournament will be played under the Advanced TCG Format.
The format changed as of March 1st, 2011. Please check the following list so that your deck matches the current format http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/
OGC or non-TCG legal cards are forbidden in this tournament.
Changing your deck will not be allowed at any point in the tournament.
To win a match you must defeat an opponent two out of three times.
Side decking will be allowed.

Swiss Tournament Rules:

The tournament will consist of a minimum of six swiss rounds and maximum of ten swiss rounds depending on how many players enter the tournament.
Winning a round will earn you a point.
Depending on how many players enter the tournament a specific amount of points will place you in the knock off stage. A number will be edited in once sign-ups are closed.
If they wish, players will be allowed to drop the tournament if they feel their chances of making the knock off stage are non-existent.

Knock-Off Tournament Rules:

Players that make the knock off stage will play each other in a traditional tournament tree.
When a player is eliminated he is out of the tournament indefinitely.
A third place match will be held if the semi-final runner ups choose to participate in it.

FAQ:
If you have any questions feel free to post here and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. However, if you'd like a more prompt reply I strongly suggest you send me a forum PM. I will paste FAQs here.

Q: If side decking is allowed, but not implemented in DN how can we know our opponent isn't cheating?
A: If you feel your opponent is cheating when they side (like using three royal decrees against your trap heave deck) simply send me a pm. I will verify if three royal decrees are in this player's side deck. If they are not he/she will be disqualified.
Q: When will the tournament start?
A:On the day or the day after the sign ups close
Q: I don't have 25 posts, I can't join?
A: No, you can't join unless you get the post requirement which should be fairly easy.

After R1 is over you will swap your side deck cards with your main deck in deck construction. DJD is requiring people to send him deck lists to prevent cheating. If you feel your opponent infinite sided you, then you just drop djd a pm with the cards he played and he checks their deck. If they used cards they didn't have he dqs them and you move along like a happy lil clam.
I have a question on legality... If this sign up stays open for 7 days, and starts the day after it would start on June 15th. On June 14th the Fairy structure deck becomes legal. If it stays for 5, it will not be. My question is, are cards from the new structure deck legal, or no?

Please contact your opponent; make sure to PM your opponent on the forum to get contact information if information is not provided in their profiles.
If a problem should arise please post about it here explaining the situations. Try to get an in-game moderator involved if possible.
Disconnecting for whatever reason is an automatic game loss regardless of advantage.
In order to verify your wins you must post here that you won against your opponent, and have them confirm. Example:
Duelist 1: I beat Duelist 2 2-1.
Duelist 2: I confirm my loss.

Do not complain about "my opponent is not responding" "my opponent is not online right now" etc. within the first day. This is not a topic for that. You will all have plenty of time for you to contact each other and conduct your duels.

Those of you who think signed up with according to the guidelines and are not on the bracket will need to wait for word from DanceJonDance

Any other posts made about "my opponent is not responding" in the next 48 hours will be deleted and considered spam. Give your opponent time to at least respond to the PM/contact effort you have made.

If you are not on the list it's because you did not follow the sign ups rules correctly, you either lacked the 25 posts before I allowed anyone to sign up (we do this for a reason), not sending your decklists, etc. Regardless of what happened, if you are not on the list you are not on the list and that is final.

Please do not PM me asking why you are not there. I've answered that in this post.

Regarding the deadline, you all have seven days to complete your matches. That's plenty of time and I expect the round to end a lot sooner than that so if you didn't find your opponents today pm them and set up a date and time when you guys can meet.
