Well, to be fair, that's not really much to go on. If some random person just said "hello" to me, I wouldn't respond either. You could have said "We need to duel for DNCS." Although the fact that you are not just "a random person" and actually his opponent makes it seem like he doesn't pay attention to this topic and/or doesn't care, so take that for what you will.

It's so annoying, people sign up but then vanish, if someone knows that won't have time, is just better to not attend these tourneys.

It's why DJD probably shouldn't have dropped the 25-post rule.

DJD is there a possibility of dropping out of the tourny the inactive persons?
If they happen to be inactive after 3 rounds chances are they will for the rest of the rounds.
Nor you nor the players should have to deal with persons who simply forgot about this.
1-2 rounds is fine, stuff happens but after 3+ rounds you know there is something wrong <_<

The structure of the tournament does not allow this. Because of the Swiss Rounds, we can't drop people, or it would not be fair to the people who "defaulted" their way to a win. The tournament is already set up for 102 people. A lesser number is not possible.

Just be patient. Eventually, the no-shows will end up dueling each other resulting in a draw. And then they will be even more likely to face each other, and more likely, and more likely, until it is not an issue anymore.

I've begun writing down the names of the inactive users, if they are inactive in round three, and four they will be counted as drop outs for rounds five, six, and seven.

We do realize a lot of people went inactive, but there was a lot of demand for people to be able to join without a post requirement. We allowed the last 24 hours to have no requirement as that showed people that are actually keeping up with the forum's posts, etc., since they had to have kept up with this thread in order to know that the rule was being implemented. Regardless, it seems it still wasn't good enough. For future tournaments we will keep in mind the activity of users, and come up with other ways of finding out if they are active or not. For now we'll have to make do with what we have right now. There was only five or six matches that resulted in ties so it wasn't so bad. It's not a bracket-style tournament. It's a swiss-style tournament. So no one gets eliminated until the knockoff stages.

Basically, everyone keeps dueling. After so many rounds, the people who have the most wins (either the top 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.) will then move onto a traditional bracket-style tournament.

Idk if this helps, but even though round 2 ended a bit ago. I managed to catch Conkloid and we dueled. I won 2-0

It may not matter, since I reported him inactive in a post days ago, but just posted it to see if it makes a difference. Did not want to lose/win that way so we dueled.
