I said if it gets any longer... Which will probably be the case. Some things are missing.

It was a good effort Potus, but you forgot about the original topic reminder :3 It still elongates the thread and will continue to do so until Johnny edits the OP...like a sweetie.

Re: "Banishment, thy Name is Ruin" - BaniShark Guide
So I made Aero Shark OTK work once last night, it was pretty hilarious.
Back on topic though, have any of you considered Future Visions? It removes all of your monsters for a turn and makes Oh F!sh live by as early as turn 2. Better yet, it doesn't hit special summons, and if you can work enough control into the deck (Level Limit and Gravity Bind because everything is level 3), you can keep your opponent's monsters at bay.
I'd love to run Chaos Sorceror, too, because it can remove your own monsters, but the best targets we have in the theme are...Mucus Yolk (admittedly hilarious with Aqua Jet) and Servant of Catabolism...ew...
Fun fact: I am a terrible American. I didn't know what Potus stood for until today.

The problem with Future Visions is that Tengu and his billion plants will kill you, especially since you have no defense (but it would be funderful against Gadgets). And, yes, you are a horrible American.XIVcaliber wrote:So I made Aero Shark OTK work once last night, it was pretty hilarious.

I honestly disagree when it comes to Big Jaws. Fly-Fang is beyond useless IMO; but Big Jaws has actually helped me achieve a mariad of plays. He's an 1800 beater that sets off the obvious Egg Clutch and Wingtortoise. But what I like about him is that he STAYS Banished. Because of him I've been able to play Fish and Kicks as if it were an MST right after an Airorca play, not to mention he's one of my favourite things to bring back with Leviair. I'unno, it might be personal preference; but I just love the card.
Has anyone here tried maining Mind Control? I managed to grab some kid's Shi En with it and overlay it with a Gishilnodon for Adreus; I used Adreus's effect once and left Shi En as the Xyz Material for the rest of the duel.
Also, I'm a tiny bit confused about KDE's mindfuckery about the TCG Xyz mechanics. Does this mean monsters used as Overlay units still have their effects applied? Like say Shi En was underneath Adreus; would I get a negation each turn or not? Or if Thunderking Rai-Oh is an Xyz Material; does his effect to prevent cards added to the hand from the deck, asside from drawing still apply? If so, I feel like this just upped this deck's potential incredibly. What if Airorca could use his effect while he was still an Xyz Material?
In TCG, the overlayed monsters are treated as being on the field when they hit the Graveyard, so Sangan, Tengu, etc. get their effects upon leaving the field.
In OCG, overlayed monsters AREN'T treated as being on the field when they hit the Graveyard, so they don't get their effects.
Alright, thank you for clearing that up for me. I looked into it a bit more and things seem a lot easier to understand now.
Future Visions could be a potential Side Deck card; but at the same time it'd be so inconsistent that you'd need to tech 2 - 3 Terraforming. Eating up 5 - 6 cards worth of deck space. However I would like to see a varient that mains it, since it could potentially work REALLY well.
Aero Shark OTK is hilarious. I don't care what anyone says, I'll always love the card. I've actually managed to get off some pretty decent damage off of his effect... Well, decent for Aero Shark standards anyway. Lol
Re: "Banishment, thy Name is Ruin" - BaniShark Guide
This deck seems so fun but mine has 22 monsters which I don't really like having more than 20 since it limits S/T, I dunno which monsters to take out D:
I thought about taking out the spearfish soldier and snowman eater but I like them.

I'd probably lower Lost Blue to 2, add a Sky Oni, and then try getting rid of Vortex Trooper for one of the original BaniSharks.
Not too sure on any other fixes.

Re: "Banishment, thy Name is Ruin" - BaniShark Guide
It's the awkwardness of the ban list. I've been in this game ever since Chaos Era, and it feels like I've come back to where I first began... except with crazy speed added in the game. >_<
Re: "Banishment, thy Name is Ruin" - BaniShark Guide
Hey, at least plants are as slow as... plants. Besides, did the Banisharks not come out victorious here? I would imagine that three Gravity Binds would be good for the deck, and now that Fishborg is banned, the chance that Cocac...coaceli...coekli...Big Fishie will be hit in March is decreased, and you did say that this card is evil in this Banisharks.Johnny Raptor wrote:It's the awkwardness of the ban list. Re: "Banishment, thy Name is Ruin" - BaniShark Guide
Three Gravity Bind is amazing for the deck, I think. With Fishborg gone, we have extra deck space, too! Yaaaay! I hope Order of Chaos makes BaniShark BLS targets. I would love that. I'm sorry, I really don't want to have to main Servant of Catabolism.
Re: "Banishment, thy Name is Ruin" - BaniShark Guide
It is, but then there's Heavy Storm and Triplicates of MST.
Now we have to resort to Traps that are chainable and have an outside function, like Compulsory and the like. =/

deck list
hey, you are my idol dude (second to "shark" of course),
and I love the sharks, I love sharks irl too,
but I kinda am only not that good in building the decks
Can you please give some tips, I will show you my deck on dn,
and please don't say to cut down my ray's, or add some orca's,
I love the ray and not so much the orca.
please also give an explaination on why you wan't to add/ delete the card
imageshack . us / photo / my-images / 109 / sharkdeckscreen . png
it works pretty decent, but I tought you might have some improvement's tough.
Ps: I found another nice monster to add, the nimble sunfish, you can easily
send killer frilled shark, or needle mambo to the grave:)

Re: "Banishment, thy Name is Ruin" - BaniShark Guide
Ok, so yesterday (Sunday Sep. 5th), Shark used a few new cards in his Duel against someone (I'll leave them unnamed for those who haven't seen it yet). Two really stood out to me:
Shark Rare
Spell Card
Continuous
Activate by sending 1 Fish-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard. Your opponent cannot declare attacks with monsters that have lower ATK than the sent monster.
Now I think that this card has potential...just not at the moment. Right now the only Banisharks (or Generation Fish) worth using with this card would be Big Jaws or Wing Tortoise, and even then, we want Big Jaws on the field so that he'll get Banished, and Wing Tortoise's ATK is too low to make much difference (if only Killer Frilled ATK was higher, there would be a really great combo with this card...oh well). Outside of that, you would have to splash in a high level Fish like Coelacanth to make this card really worthwhile. Here's hoping Konami comes up with some 1900 ATK Banisharks...
Sharktopus
When this card is destroyed by battle with an opponent's monster and sent to the Graveyard: You can equip it as an Equip Card to that monster; the equipped monster's ATK becomes 0 and it cannot change its Battle Position.
Decent ATK, pretty good effect. Unfortunately, it only equips to the monster that destroyed it, but that's still ok. Brings a big bad monster down to our level and keeps it from defending. Nice. (Since it's not Fish-exclusive, it may have some potential with a Reptilliane Deck I toying with, but that's besides the point )

Shark Rare is hilarious with Coelacanth, I think. Especially since the big guy didn't get hit. It'll be interesting to see what Order of Chaos and future anime episodes bring us.
Also, as far as Gravity Bind and Eisbahn go, Imperial Custom, guys. It saves your field from Heavy Storm, and they have to use all three MSTs to get around that backrow.
